Yeah, but the number of BMX threads about compared to the number of DH/Dual/XC threads doesn't compare, as has already been said. I think it's a good idea to be honest, but it's not up to me. That's bollocks though, your ping time (what you need to care about) may be worse on a 24meg line than on a 576k line. And even for general web browsing there are very few sites/servers that you can take advantage of (even with my 3meg). I would much rather have a 1meg line with a decent ping and no bandwidth limitations...

Yeah that's basically it I think. I'm no photographer by the way, but yeah you're just about right as far as I know. Small aperture = large depth of field but less light, so you have to compensate by increasing the exposure time. By the sounds of it you know way more than me anyway ^_^

Kind of. Aperture is the size of the hole that the light passes through. A smaller aperture means a greater focal depth.

My best shoes for riding are some Puma trainers that I bought for £20 from TK Maxx. Nice and grippy, pretty thin sole and they don't look completely stupid. What more could you want? Converse are pretty good too (gripwise), but there's a complete lack of padding on the inside of your ankle, so a) They hurt when you catch your ankle (I seem to do it all the time) b) They rip on the sides really easily

Is it getting too hot? Try cleaning as much crap out of it as possible and try the installation in a cool place, see if that works. If it gets too hot it will restart.

Well it can be pretty hard to get any results if you don't know what you're doing. Or you can just set it on auto mode and take snaps, but then you may as well just get a normal digital camera like Joe said.

I think you should only use a 5mm spacer to run a 73mm BB in a 68mm frame. Like Chris said, if you space it out any more you're at risk of threading the frame which wouldn't be pretty. Not sure why you would need to space it out any more, unless you had bought the wrong size BB...

You just need to see it from your parent's point of view. All your parents want is what's best for you. You are probably too young to see that. I can't really talk because I didn't really put much effort in at school, but I do think it's definitely worth it. It's either that or leave school and get a job on minimum wage*, and do that until you die* with very little time for riding*. Like everyone has basically said, don't do it for your Mum or anyone else, but bear in mind that a bit of work at this stage will go a long way. You never really hear of people who regret working hard at A-Levels, but you hear of loads of people who regret not working hard enough at school. But perhaps you should have chosen A-Levels that were less dull :$ *Probably

So you're a Nikon man are you? I've heard good things about both cameras to be honest, you'd be happy with either really. There are minor differences and one might appeal to someone slightly more but it's horses for courses. Apparently the Nikon has a nicer lens and screen, whereas the Canon is a slightly better body, and the CMOS (or is it a CCD?) is better. But there's not much in it as far as I know.
