Nathan, I hope that does ride really nice, because that is one disgusting looking bike. I think it's mainly because the chainstay's are so low, it just looks foul. Fair play for going back to mod, hopefully you'll be happier on that.

i'm 22, i started riding bike trials at the young age of 14. My mum has never really taken an interest in what i do. She's been negative towards things i've done, like hop idol, and going on tour for mad. She's seen know point in it, but the way i see it. It's my life, i'l live it how i choose, not how other want. I love bike trials, its my passion. The only way i'l stop is when my body prevents me from being able to ride anymore. Don't let anyone tell you that what you do is pointless, or a waste of time.

Here's an idea, how about you all talk to each other politely, instead of being twats to one another. The question was simple, if you don't know, you don't need to respond, but its nice when a response is pleasant. This isn't a personal dig, but Danny I've read alot of your post's, and it seems rather rare that your posts are ever friendly and helpful. I've not met you, and going by your post's I don't really ever want too. That goes the same to alot of other riders on here. Think what is was like when you were in the beginning stages of bike trials. Now think how other new members feel. This is new members chat, how do you think other new members feel, when someone puts a topic up and they get abused for it. Thats not helping other rider's, thats discouraging them from persuing there interest in bike trials. Sorry about the rant, but it does my head in when riders think their better than others. Thats not what the sport is about!

I'l be in Newquay then, I'l have my bike, but I'm doing demo's every day. May possibly be able to ride one evening.

Ride saturday. Joe and I can only ride then, so would be good to get out and ride with some locals.

Most probably having dinner with my gf, taking the dogs out for a walk, then if i'm lucky, maybe some 'fun' before going to sleep.

In all fairness, when a rider gets to a certain standard, or is trying a particular technique, they almost always think about mathematical possibilites. If your tapping a wall, you slowly work out a position (angle) that your bike needs to be at to be able to get up the wall. Whether you physically think about what the degree of the angle is when you tap or not. A rider will still be thinking mathematically when doing that technique. Same with gaps, as said by other's. You probably can work out a mathematical method to work out whether a gap could be made or not, ut for the time and hassle it would course. In all, I agree with Gilly. It is just easier to stick to you limits, and push them only if you feel happy and comfortable to and not to try something under peer pressure. After awhile, you get an eye for what your limits are. So whether it's a gap, sidehop, tap, hook, or any other technique. You'll be able to take one look at the obstacle, and know whether you'll be able to do it with ease, or with effort, or not at all.

I think me and Joe are might ride Toad rocks this saturday. Anyone one else interested in tagging along? Also, can anyone give me directions to toad rocks from the nearest station, or a location for toad rocks? Cheers Nick

Really liked it, I think my tap bail was quite funny. I agree with Dan, some of those low shots does make things look smaller, but still looks good though. I agree with Hugh, the Phase does look alot nicer than the ZHI.

Not sure, maybe mid 20's. lol Dan, I don't think anyone would actually kill themselves over the colour of a bike, lol.

Was there really a need to type everything twice? lol Unfortunately, I wont be attending the HBTC round this sunday, as I'm doing a demo. However, I will most certainly be there for Wareham. I did want to do all 8 rounds this year, but earning money comes first. I've still done more HBTC rounds this year compared to any other year, so I'm chuffed with that.

Yes, I have another new bike. It's a Phase 1.2, kindly supplied from 2x2 worlwide through Giles @ MAD. I'm currently running the original frame, fork, headset, bb, bar and stem. The rest of the parts are from my ZHI. When this picture were taken I was trying out a rear disc, but have now opted for the hs33. Picture was taken on a mobile. (will get new, better quality pics tonight). Wheelbase is 1075 BB is +5 It rides so well. I honestly expected the low bb to make a difference, but I've not noticed a change at all. Video to come very soon.........

Sounds good, mixture of both. I don't know the area, so would appreciate locals, coming out to show us around.

Joe Oakley and I will be staying in the Kent area on friday night, and are looking at riding somewhere on the saturday. Joe is quite keen on riding toad rocks, I'm not too fussed, street or natural. Just seeing what suggestions there are for places to ride and if anyone would be out? Cheers Nick

You do realise those dates are Monday - Wednesday? I wont be coming if its on a week day.
