  1. Cheers :$ I know there was no trials, but still if he prefers to do all that on a mod then thats his call. It does look odd, but then how many bmxer's do you see in a half pipe doing trialsy techniques. ie: hopping on the coping and on the top of the ramp before dropping back in to the ramp.
  2. Are you serious???? Basingstoke has nothing, I spent an hour there, waiting between trains, so I went for a hunt around, and found nothing. Winchester has more and that's shocking, lol. (no offence Dave)
  3. I can't wait to see Dave Marshall's comment. I've noticed that he's been viewing this topic for quite a while now, lol. C'mon Dave, share your expertise
  4. I have to say I don't use one with my gf. I did when I first met her, but we don't anymore. I wouldn't recommend doing it without a condom unless your in a serious relationship and you've both been checked. My gf was a virgin when I met her, so no issues there. She's on the pill, which even though doesn't 100% guarantee to work, is 99.9% guaranteed. I know it is still a risk that she could become pregnant, and were not ready yet. But 99.9% affective is pretty good, and it does feel so much better without a condom. My gf and I have been together for 16 months, are engaged to get married in 2011 and I've just moved in with her, so were pretty serious. As much as it does feel great without a condom, I would strongly recommend still using one, unless your in a serious long term relationship, your both clean and she is atleast taking the pill, or one of you is in fertile. If none apply to you, then don't take the risk, you will gain no respect from it, and will regret it in the long run. It's simple, don't take the risk, takes seconds to put a condom on and could potentially be the best decision of your life!! Makes sense really.
  5. Your a rather funny guy Mitch. Oops, was ment to be Grow up.
  6. I had sex with a girl when I was 19, I'm now 22. (no it wasn't my first time). I stopped her getting on top of me before I put a condom on. I'm glad I did, the next morning she told me she chlamydia. I never spoke to her again! The first thing I did was check the condom for holes, thankfully there wasn't any. I knew that I should still get myself checked, just to be on the safe side. I put it off, knowing I should go, but in all honesty, feling really nervous, scared and embarrassed. This year I was at a demo in Felixstowe, at an extreme fest. The idea of the event was to show young people that there are other sports and activities to do other than the mainstream ones, such as football, cricket and tennis. Anyway, there were someone women from the NHS who had a stand, they were taking piss samples from anyone under the age of 25. They would take it away with them and look to see if you had any STD's or STI's. I did it, and was sent a text a few days later informing me that I had nothing. I was over the moon. I regret not doing it sooner, as I could have had chlamydia. Yeah, as guys were always joking around about sex as subject, but seriously, if you ever have any doubts, go to your local GUM clinic and get yourself checked out. Don't leave it, as it could cause more problems down the line. Yes it is embarassing to go somewhere like that, but I imagine its not half as bad as actually having something and having to contact previous sexual partners to get them checked. Like many have already said, if you want respect wear a condom! Look my incident, if I hadn't have stopped her to put a condom on, I would have had chlamydia. So don't be stupid and think your cool. Grow, be the bigger man, be mature and wear some protection.
  7. I have to say, that I enjoyed the video. I wasn't so keen on the music, but thats just my opinion, you obviously like that style of music and thats cool. To all the rider's that didn't like the video, I'm betting that the majority of you can not manuel or bunnyhop and that'll be why you didn't enjoy the video. I understand where this guy is coming from. I love riding skate parks, but the hell I'm gonna ride a bmx at one. There heavy and to me feel nasty to ride, I admit I've had a go on a few that do feel nice, but still I prefer to ride a trials bike at a skate park. Even when I had my mod I loved riding it at skate parks. The fact that your bike is light is a benefit. I've been dirt jumping and ridden xc on my trials bike before. Just because I love how my bike rides, I can literally do what I want on it, and so why would I bother riding a different bike, when I can do it on my trials bike. I know Jonny Jones loves riding skate parks on his trials bike, it is down to preference. But unfortunately it seems alot of rider's feel that a trials bike can only be used for trials. I'm sorry, but you can use your bike for whatever you want, it's your bike do what you want with it. I saw a video years ago by a rider called Ricki Maurita (unsure of spelling). He rode a mod (something like a Brisa), anyway, he could ride trials very well, street and natural, but he could also do lots of manuels and rock walks and spins just like this guy. Ricki was/is a very talented rider. I think what makes a good rider, is there versatility. So if they can do more than just ride one style of trials or one discipline. It makes then a better all round rider and gives them a better ability in all styles/disciplines. Think about widening your ability/style/discipline, you never know, you might actually like it!
  8. Mitch Mitch Mitch Mitch

  9. The phase bikes do ride nicely. If you get one, all you'll need to do is change the rear hub, so you have more engagement's. But if your fairly new rider, it wont make any difference untill you start hopping and putting the hub under more stress. I love my Phase. I ride the 1.2 The only things I've changed are the wheels, cranks, front brake, pedals and rear magura mounts and tensioner. I changed the wheels to hope pro 2 hubs on koxx rims, the cranks to Echo, the mech to a 74 Kingz tensioner, front brake from magura to hope trial, pedals to VP double cage and the rear magura mounts to tensile offset, as the koxx rim is too wide for a magura to be run on the frame. Here's a video and Here's some pictures
  10. I was in Newquay beginning of the month. There was a rider from Truro who took me around the town, we didn't really ride much there, but there was a really nice skate park nearby. Dunno if that'll interest you at all.
  11. Looking good Dave, lets see you use your action man muscles to get that up a huge ledge, lol. That does look awesome, will have to come out with you next time, I love watching it. It's so impressive.
  12. Well, Luke lives in mid-Wales, so He is in an ideal loaction to promote it at local bike parks as well as rider's promotiong it at races, such as the national series.
  13. Not all rider's just ride street. There are loads of rider's that ride comps, and in most cases their bike can be as filthy as a downhill or x-country bike.
  14. I'm thinking about riding either Portland or West Bay tomorrow, just wandering if anyone else would be up for it.
  15. I've only ever used water, I probably should use anti-freeze in the winter, but so far I'v not had any problems.
  16. Just been looking at coming up, but £70 by coach, £90 by train or £220 by plain, its way too much, shame, sounds like its gonna be a sweet ride.
  17. What time do you think you'll ride till, roughly?
  18. I've been speaking to the Alvaro Lopez, the guy who set the website up. Basically, the reason for needing people's ID no, is so that when there is enough interest, Alvaro will send it to the UCI and/or the olympic committee. The ID no's will be used to show that the names are not made up and are genuine. The ID no's are saved in a private list, so know one can see them. Entirely upto as to whether you put your details forward for it, but Alvaro just wanted it to be made clear about the issue with the ID no. I have submitted my details including my ID no and look forward to the possibility of bike trials being a part of 2012.
  19. the pitbull looks foul. I think the best looking pitbull's were the 2004 and 2007 models. Mod looks ok, not really paid much attention to them, so i can't really compare it to any of the others.
  20. unfortunately alot of riders either don't know much or enough about comps to do them, or cant get to them. Then there's the one's that cba, lol. I would compete in the huddersfield falcons but it's to far to travel, same as tyke trial.
  21. Ignore Ash, he has anger issues
  22. I ride comps, I'm a member of the Hampshire Biketrial Club. I use the uk bike trial website to find out information for bike trials happening around the country. I'm looking at becoming a member of the Essex Biketrial Club aswell as doing the nationals and possibly the european championships next year, aswell as continuing with Hampshire biketrial rounds.
