  1. Remove pads.

    Open coke can.

    Drink coke.

    Cut coke can in half.

Rinse out bottom half of coke can.

Place pads in half of coke can.

Tip meths in coke can till cover pads.

    Light meths.

    Walk away.

Clean rotor in hot water with fairy liquid and a sponge with a scouring pad on it.

Dry rotor.Wipe rotor with meths and a clean cloth, rotating cloth so a new bit is used every time you put meths on it.

Once meths has finnished burning in coke can, leave to cool.

    Fit rotor, pads and brake.

    Go down a hill.

    Job done.

You missed the, 'slice fingers on coke can' part.

  2. Even if you could remove a dent on such a small tube, you'd make the frame weaker than when you had the dent.

But what you should do is get a hammer and dent the other side. Then say it's meant to be like that.

    Sroblem Polved.

  3. First of all, make sure you're willing to buy a new rim if it collapses, single walling a double wall rim will weaken it a huge amount, it's not for everyone, so it depends on your riding style etc,

My top tip for filing the holes to get a square cut out is to not bother. The amount of time it takes and then watching the rim fold in half makes me say it's not worth it. But that's just my advice, but if you are, just get some files, preferable a file that's the same width as the diameter of the hole so all you do is file the curves off the hole. If you're going to cut the second wall out though it shouldn't take too long actually.

Single walling the rim just requires a cutting off wheel on an angle grinder. Actually make that more than one cut off wheel as you may snap one. Then just go around the edge of the second wall.

  4. I currently have one of those red motorokr S9 ebay jobbies you can see all over ebay for pretty cheap. Problem being it doesn't work outside, constantly skips, only outside for some reason. Although perfectly fine in the gym so I just stuck with it, but now the rubber buttons have fallen off one side and I've lost and ear bud so I'm thinking of replacing them.

There doesn't seem to be a huge amount on the market at the moment.

The latest Jaybird sportsband 2 looks ok, bit pricey though and I'm not used to that style of headphone, with the foam, so I'm not sure how comfortable it'll be and how stable it'll be on the head, even though it's called sportsband, I can't imagine it to stay in place too well when running/cycling etc. - Jaybird - http://www.jaybirdge...s-features.html

    Plantronics backbeat 903 - http://www.mobilefun...ogle%2Bproducts

They look ok, not again not sure on how comfortable they will be around the back of the ear. My bluetooth headset holds on behind the ear and can be a pain to get on sometimes.

I mainly want it to work outside (not skip or break up) and be comfortable. I'm not hugely concerned about the likes of bass quality, I know most headphones are going to be decent enough quality for me to not be too bothered, plus half my MP3s are low bitrate.

So if anybody has any reviews on what they've got and what they think of theirs, that'll be good. Thanks.

  5. It's a shame Microsoft haven't brought out anything spectacular. I've got a pretty good Logitec wheel which works on PC and PS3, but ofcourse they don't work for the Xbox. At the moment PS3 is well ahead with the wheels available.

Maybe when Forza 4 is released they might have a new wheel out. It's a bit odd that they discontinued their previous wheel though.

  6. Am I the only person who isn't a fan of zombies?? Played the knife/xbow/tomahawk game the other night and won't be doing again. Was absolutely kicking ass, 1st place and steaming ahead, last 10 seconds starts to count down, as it gets to 2 seconds some c**t tomahawks me. Gutted doesn't cover it! And as we got Sky HD yesterday and the telly only has 1 HD connector the PS3 is now seeing no action till it's sorted!

Don't want to sound pedantic, but you do know you can unplug the Sky HDMI cable and plug in the PS3 HDMI cable.

  7. Google 'uniqlo' and look at the 'heatTech' range. They do the leggings/long johns. They are stupidly warm as they 'convert sweat into heat' or something like that.

eBay are doing a special offer where its 3 items from the heattech range for £22 delivered! :)

Hey guys, I want to get some compression tights, but not major expensive like skins. So do you know any good ones that are no more than £20ish. Links to websites to look at would be great! smile.gif Thanks in advance!

They're a totally different thing to long johns. The only similarity is they're for your legs.

  8. I like the game but I have to say the graphics aren't as good as MW2 it seems more cartoony rather than realistic. I like the new weapons so far and I like the sound effects. I'd love it if there was a side game where you can just drive the car round the maps ha ha that's so much fun.

That's exactly what I thought. I was about to mention it. The graphics quality is good but the shapes of the characters and buildings are more cartoony than MW2. It reminded me a bit of counter strike source with some of the graphics and the way you see people moving about.

Still good, but I rate MW2 better at the moment. It's just good to have new maps, weapons, gameplay etc. It's more fair too when it comes to kills and gameplay.

I'll have to get used to this money lark though. I liked levelling up and automatically getting new weapons, but now I have to fart around trying to decide what weapon I want to buy and what attachment etc. Might end up being better but I need to get used to it.

Some other cool little features too, and good to have Zombies back.

Also, online play is being a bitch, drops out a lot, takes ages to find a game and when it does it farts about for ages swapping people about and adding people.

  9. Ofcourse i have carbon leverblades.. My front tire is lightened about 60 grams, front rim about 50 grams and rear about 45 grams. fw system that he has is 38 grams lighter than my setup, pedals about 30 grams lighter.. grips?!

im no math genius but it still does not make up for it, where talking abut 400 grams that is lost somewhere...

I hate to break it to you, but it's unlikely any 2 of the same components are exactly the same weight.

Also, it sounds like you're guessing the weights of your parts. At the end of the day, the scale doesn't lie (unless they've set the zero wrong), that is the weight of that bike and that's that. There's no hidden anti mass rim tape hidden in it.

  10. meh, I wouldn't touch a joplin with a barge pole from what I have heard of them.

Rockshox Reverb is what you want. Heard good stuff about it. Pricey though, but I'm sure you could get on the old B2B Ali ;).

  11. That looks quite nice - how much was it?

They are £2100 for this years model.

Next years model will be pretty much the same except around £2600 with the price of bikes going up over the whole market so had to get one before the new models.

I like the way they've put a fox float 32 fork and a Fox RP23 with boost valve rear shock on. Other bikes had lesser forks and shock for more money. Pretty happy with the bike though.

The bike comes stickerless and comes with a sticker set, so you can put them where you want.

  12. Sorry, what i can say is that it was a definately a deore mech, and off the top of my head i cant remember exactly what shifter it was might of been the x7? will look in the garage in the morn.

He is right though. If you've used a Deore rear mech and anything like a Sram X7 then it won't work properly. All the X range are 1:1 actuation. The only Shimano compatible Sram shifters are the Sram Attack and TRX thumb shifters (like the X range) and the MRX gripshift.

Otherwise it simply won't shift through all the gears correctly no matter how much you adjust it.

Also all Sram shifters are compatible with Shimano front mechs, so that's not a problem.
