  1. It depends really. You should use Anti seize on your bottom bracket threads. But if you have an Aluminium frame and an aluminium non drive side cup, then a bit of thread lock will be ok. The drive side shouldn't be coming loose really as it's tightened onto the frame, and you should be putting anti seize on the drive side if it's and Aluminium frame/Steel BB thread because it may well seize in.

  2. People I know who have been to uni said they end up out with their new flatmates because they're all in the same boat, so everyone in the flat wants to get to know eachother. So you'll all go out. Yes, one might be gay, the other might be into Jazz, and someone will probably be a violent drunk, but you'll probably meet new people to go out with and you can leave your flat mates to it.

If not, just grab a 3L bottle of cider, drink that on your own and go to the union and see what happens....

  3. The likes of Red Bull, Monster, Relentless etc are great if you're feeling a bit tired and need a pick up. But for riding I can't see it making a difference to the riding ability, mentally and physically. Unless you're riding under par due to feeling too tired or lethargic it could help give you some energy to get you going. But because of the caffein in them, you'll always get a come down, which isn't ideal for sports. Although Red Bull doesn't seem as intense as the others, so for sports if any caffeine related drink is used, it'd be Red Bull.

Personally I find Lucazade sport (the non fizzy one) the one to drink. It without doubt used to help me prevent arm pump in competitions (cramping and lactic acid build up in arms due to continually pulling the brakes and using arm forearm muscles).

The same applied to a Powder mix energy drink (HIGH 5) I think it was. I was cycling a long distance and my legs where cramping up and the occasional sipping of the drink would help a lot.

So these energy drinks (propper non caffein drinks) will help you ride longer at a high level by giving your muscles the energy they need for a short period of time, but they don't make you ride better, i.e hop higher or give a better mental attitude.

I find drinking Relentless makes you need a toilet pretty near by. After literally a few swigs it triggers a toilet visit. Every time. It's bizarre. It must pass go or something.

  4. I'm going down to London this weekend so I'm wondering, where are the best places to go on a Friday and Saturday night.

I'll be staying in Camden so I know there are places around there to go and I'm also aware of Soho, but what bars are good to go to? Any cheap pubs/bars that anybody knows of around Camden, Soho or anywhre else? Mainly after reasonably priced places and maybe a few really cheap places because my mates might not have much dolla.

I was told Brick Lane/Spitalfields is quite good too. Not really looking for big clubs or anything just decent places to drink. So anyone with any ideas will be helpful.

    Thanks.

    Phil.

  5. I wouldn't worry. You've got a single ply tyre. That's your problem. As soon as you get a double ply, you'll reduce your chances of getting them. You probably will still get them but nowhere near as much.

Also, what rim have you got? You're more likely to pinch with a narrower rim than a wide rim. So with a 2.35 single ply tyre on a narrow'ish rim like a 38mm wide rim, it's not as good as with a 47mm wide rim.

  6. It depends how much money you have, If you only have £200 you can't go wrong with the Barracuda. The frames are actually really nice with hydroformed tubing.

Box stem and riser bars, more durable seat, suitable tyres. For the money it's a great bike. But it depends how much you have or want to spend, there's no point comparing it to a £800 24/7.

That bike is only for novice dirt jumping really.

  7. I don't understand why people were saying David James was the best player. The first goal he should have come out for the ball and taken it, but he hesitated.

The second goal was a tight angle, he should be stopping them.

The 3rd goal was right at him, but he decided to move out the way. Although it was hit hard.

But I can't help feeling a better keeper would have stopped them.

All he done was make 2 saves and catch the ball 3 times.

  8. re build one side of the wheel and put a high tension on the spokes. I don't know if it'll be strong enough to withstand the force used when removing a sprocket but, worth a try.

    But...

If you managed to remove the spokes without taking the sprocket off, I don't see why you can't put them back in, just bend them a little, they'll straighten up.

P.s. The above method, probably won't work.

  9. Looks like the new one is a failure lol. Cant even hold the phone in the bottom left corner or the signal goes, well done testers hahah

That's ridiculous that. They even put it on national news. It's hardly a problem. When you look at other phones like Nokia, sony, HTC, they all have bigger problems but they never get the slack. Iphones are the only phones you can rely on and do what you actually want them to do without slowing down or crashing every 5 minutes.

  10. If you've paid for them then you can download them again without having money taken, so it's no biggy (Y)

Yep, found that out haha, just transferred paid apps to a different computer. OS4.0 is brilliant, the multitasking is perfect.

I downloaded Tiger Woods PGA golf the other day. It's a really good game, kept me busy for hours. And only 59p for such an extensive game = bargain.
