You can't uninstall WMP through windows, so I take it you found its directory and deleted that? If so you may have messed up your computer's registry. I suggest going to; http://ccleaner.com And downloading CCleaner. Run the 'Issues' search and fix any errors it'll find. Reboot your computer then download the latest version of WMP from the Microsoft website. Hopefully that'll sort you out.

There could be a way to work around this. Any chance you'd mind sending the bg image and web page you want it doing on? I think I could change the design to use a white background for the main body of the box with a top and bottom white rounded picture at each end. It's pretty much impossible to explain but I reckon I could do something about it if you want.

Mate for some reason I'm not totally convinced. I've been toying with the idea of buying one for a long time seeing as I sidehop to my right (same as you). *But*, my chainstays are a bit of a b*****d length and my chain doesn't go really short, so my tensioner would be out at an angle from the stay. Surely twatting that on a wall would bend the shit out of it, force it into my stay and damage it? I've no idea though. Advice?

If I were you I'd always get the 3 year thing. It's bloody brilliant. With my new PC, in 2 and a half years time I'll be carrying it to my car when I 'accidently' drop and smash it. Immediately I get sent a brand spanking new one, same spec. Ebay!

There's a thread on here somewhere about tweaking your FireFox, have a look for it. Should help you out a treat. So far my FF has been awesome, plenty faster than IE and like 5% of the security risks.
