    Tilt-shifting

This was in the photography thread. It's amazing.

    Proto Try-all

I'd rather have a 48ep freewheel that never skipped over a 180 that skipped regularly. Even if the higher ep freewheel (with the skip included) engaged in less rotation.

    Didn't you have that patented?

    Dreams...

I wasn't fantasizing about anyone, it was a dream. Just to clear that up.
  5. I think i know which one you mean as my cousin got the frame one (drilled sidewalls on the front rim, thick chain stays). If it's a beginner bike you can't really go wrong, those bikes retailed towards the £450 so if you can get it for £200 you're good to go. A pic of it would help loads through!
  6. I suppose it'd be nice to change gears depending on what type of riding you're doing. But i've been riding trials on a mod for 5 years and i've never wished i could change gear. Like Ali said there aren't many people these days who ride with gears - even more so now that comp rules have changed from making it compulsory to have gears (3 years later than they should have). There is a significant wight loss, not only is there less weight from all the extra cogs and crap, but from leaver that changes the gear too, and from the derailleur. Also, the weight is all off the back wheel. Loosing 300gs from the back wheel makes the bike feel lighter than loosing 300grs from, say, the frame.

18+ dream. And than i woke up.
  8. Trials is a lot smaller in the USA than it is in the UK. I was just lucky enough to end up in a city where there is quite a lot of trials riders due to a lot of mototrials comps being held here. Best thing to do is if you're looking for a bike is go onto www.observedtrials.net which is a USA version of trials-forum. Check out what's for sale on there. Even with the exchange rate in the favor of an american buying from the UK (tarybikes) it still costs a lot to buy a bike from there. You've looking at more than $150 to have it shipped out which in most cases makes it too expensive to be doing which is a shame.
  9. Nice thread, but i can't help get the feeling of nails down a chalkboard when i read it.

    My Brute Thread

I can't view fights anymore, any ideas?
  11. That's good to hear about the disc mount, i know me and a few other members have been rattling on about that for some time. As for the snail cam hole, the only reason I've been going on about it is becuase it is just a hole. If there was any amount of extra material, work, design or cost, it would obviously be a non issue. I hope I get round to trying the integrated tensioning systems myself, but chances are in this country it's unlikely, some rider the other day said to me "what the hell, are they hedgehogs in your front rim?!"
  12. That isn't actually that nice. Maybe it would look better with black forks.
  13. I'm not 'scared'. I found that chain tugs used to slip a lot, and the onza system can't be adjusted without tools so that's an extra spanner you'd have to carry around with you. I can't really see the manufacturing costs of a threaded hole being too high. Especially if they sell another 1 or 2 frames becuase of it.
  14. You're missing the whole point, it's got nothing to do with how good either system is. There are people out there (like me) who have never used Onza's system, and i'm not going to go out and buy a frame on someones word that it's great, people told me avid BB7's were great but mine was shit. I'll end up with a frame that can't take the tension system i'm used to using or prefer using just becuase Onza won't drill a little hole on the dropout. I know people are going to say 'why not drill the hole yourself' etc. For a start that'll probably void the warranty and can be a lot of effort when it could just be done by Onza in the first place. There just really isn't any reason why not.
  15. I think i'm going to pass out just reading that.
  16. So people can choose. The big problem i have with Onza frames at the moment is i love the snail cam system, and i love rear disc. To be honest I've never used the integrated tension system, I've always had doubts ever since I read the very first topic on it, but it just gives people the option, it's just a threaded hole. Same with disc mounts, i'd love to know how many extra ice's would have been sold if it had a read disc mount.
  17. Also another question to add to that one, why can't Onza frame be made to take snail cams? It's only a hole.

    My Brute Thread

Thinking about it, it doesn't help at all to keep posting your link in here - unless it was on the first page and you might get a pupil. That's becuase you don't gain any points from being fought, so it's kinda pointless unless you're just in it for the glory. Best thing to do is spam everywhere with your link. The only thing i haven't figured out yet is what's the lowest level you can fight (relative to yours) where you'll get 2 exp points for winning. I fought a level 1 guy and i only got 1 exp point. I thought you got 2 for winning and 1 for loosing no matter what.

    Happy Birthday.

Same reason people call you Anal.
  21. Then why not just stop acting like a total fanny and you probably will be validated again?
