I can vouch for the fact that the sony amp is very good value for money. Sounds great. Tis a shame sony dont produce car audio like they do home audio!

What size speakers are we talking? Bookshelf? Floorstanders?

I went out the other week for the first time ever and didnt drink. I had such a shit night it was unreal. Everybody annoyed me, the bars i usually love were shitty and sweaty and i was totally bored. I also find it different if your seeing someone. Normally the main purpose of a night out would be to find ladies. But If you already have one there seems to be less incentive to go out on the piss, and you would much rather go to a pub instead and talk etc. Which is understandable really. Drinking is just part of life now. Your in school/work all week, go out friday/saturday and get drunken, meet a girl, have a amazing laugh with mates and then up for work or whatever the next day. I enjoy it, Ive had some of the funniest times of my life when drunk and generally enjoy it. Im going to Ibiza in 3 weeks and simply cant wait. Im not a big clubber or dance music fanatic. But the elixure of drink, women, loud music, a great atmosphere really does appeal to me. Horses for courses

"Six weeks and no sex?!" ............?????

If you can ride a bike normally, bmx is easier to pick up and just have a bash at Trials is more accessable as there are always walls etc really. Both are as expensive although BMX is probably cheaper to get started At the top end, Id say trials is more demanding mentally and physically. But for outright balls and bike confidence, bmx probably takes it Swings and roundabouts

And the TalkAudio.co.uk forums run by them ^^^^ Is also very good for info etc

Heres a funny idea, buy jeans that actually fit you in the first place???

Lol I know! I was merely stating how basically intelligent the evo is. Your right, It can be looked at 2 ways. Experienece drivers and testers turn all that off as it probably hinders them. But If a normal driver wants to see how far they can go safely then they will aid them? Does anyone else think like this: I cant stand "cruises" and all that shit and doing handbrake turns to impress your mates in car parks. BUT im very curious as to what happens when I do this.....or that.....Or dump the clutch here or shift down here. If you get me? I want to learn about the handling of cars and how they react etc. I dont wanna show off or anything Im just intrested. Ive been on my own a few times at night etc and it been raining and Ive gone to a deserted road or something and have just drove round slowly, only in 1st and 2nd gear just seeing what happens at different points of rpm and such. I dunno how to explain it. Obviously im not showing off or any of that crap cos im on my own in a deserted place and I ASSURE you there was no danger seeing as this was a huge area and I was in a small part of it with nothing around me. Some people may say im a tit, oh well

Rubish. He stands out cos he tries to make himself stand out. Hes different yes but Id rather be "the same" (whatever that is) and be Vinny than be different and be leech

A year or so ago I wouldnt have had a problem with spending lots on my bike and buying new bits for the sake of it, not cos i needed them. But at the mo I cant remember the last time i bought something for it. Its a mess right now. Feels bitty and like its about to fall apart. BUT ive done some of my best riding ever in the last few months. So I dunno. If I had the money, Id be buying new bits all the time but to be honest, I have better things to spend money on now. Cars drain funds seriously as do girlies and going out. Still love my bike, it just doesnt get the same doh thrown at it as it used to

there hasnt been a NEW escort for a good few years now lol The escos is no way a gurls car lol. The evo is a girls car cos its more computer than engine, the escos is DEFO a engine car. And all from a relatively normal looking escort aswell. It set a trend all over the world with the whale tail spoiler and the fact that joe-public could now afford to go fast. They are amazing cars woich love to be tuned. Few actually stay standard anymore and most sit around 300-400bp mark. 4wd is FAST and they handle amazingly aswell apparently. Sorry I got the wrong figures for the reyland but i was basically there. Still a ferrari/lambo/pretty much any other exotic supercar beater. And then he went and wrapped it at gumball (Y) Devastation I actually like the evo, in black, in standard form. Think it looks pretty evil and you could close your eyes doing 100mph at a 90 degree corner and the car would drive itself around there no problem lol. Amazing piece of engineering

The sagaris has to be one of the best styled cars ive ever seen. Theres no way anyone whos intrested at all in cars (and I mean real cars, not plastic) cannot find this irresisable: In some ways cars are getting better, in some ways worse. Its becoming more difficult for someone with a real intrest to learn about how cars work, as most of them these days are mostly computerised. While this is good for a performance point of view, its not that good for the home mechanic, people who want to increase performance or as some would say for driving pleasure. Cars like the reyland cosworth etc are unbelieveable and are absolute sheer genius how its been done. And this is a ten year old car. 0-60 in the low 2second bracket and +200mph top end. HOW!!!??? This has been achieved through serious knowledge of engines and cars in general. And then a skyline can achieve that with a few chips and a laptop. Both impressive, but in totally different ways

LMAO HHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAA to be honest, viva la bam is pretty hoop. Its so wrestling-esque pre arrange it makes me feel bad for them. Still funny but just a bit sad that hes sorta sold out a bit in a way. CKY vids are bloody amazing though. "You just shit on a glass window. Did you see the look on the womans face?! The couple were probably out on their vaccation to the big apple and some Raab himself shits on a glass window"
-
Theres no reason for it to look that shit at all, have a search for the Norris designs evo, 0-60 2.8sec and 204mph, and oooo it looks standard.........
-
If someone asked me do I like crumpets, Id immediately say yes. But if I thought about it, id never CHOOSE them. I only have them if mummy makes or buys them. Id never really choose them over something else. Not a fave really.......

Any car feels fast when your learning. A 1.4, none turbo diesel is slooooow. A mate has a 1.6 diesel meganne as a curtosy car and its very slow. TDI is ok, D is not. Thats amazing really nick. 70bhp from JUST electrical (basically) jiggery. Makes you think why they dont do it in the first place, although thats was the s3 is for....... The cooper S worx is NOT slow by any means
-
Power and torque bands will apply to any engine but will just differ from car to car really. You are right though, an old 1.6 or 1.8 will generally be slower than a brand new 1.2 16v engine. Its just progression. Alothough new cars are nice, most "petrol heads" will agree that an older engine is almost always better built from better materials. Its the advancement in electronic wizardry that has increased performace and ecomnomy really. Most modern Jap cars dont even have an engine its just a big computer under the bonnet (Y) But then again, Jap cars arnt renown for being slow or shit so............

You might get away with a stip down, clean, lube and re bleed then. Mine was baaaaad and took a while for me to realise what was happening. I thought it was just the caliper and didnt consider the hose, whereas the the experienced guy I spoke to know straight away. As for cars pulling over, wait till one of your wishbones go at the ball joint, the car randomly pulls SHAPLY over to one side, and im talking a whole lane. I found this out on the motorway.........
-
If its anything like ford ones, you will probably be needing a new caliper and rubber brake hose. Does your car pull to one side on braking? Sometimes does the brake rub for a while? If so then the rubber hose has collapsed. Under normal braking the fluid cant ge through due to the collapsing and the car pulls over to the other side as only that brake is working. However, if you slam on for any reason, the fluid is basically FORCED down the collapsed hose into the caliper but then cant get back as it is still effectively collapsed, and the brake stays on and rubs until the brake fluid eventually seeps back into the system properly. Ring any bells?

I wouldnt worry too much, my mate has a slimline ps2, 2 sun visor 4x7in monitors, a £380 sony video display head unit all in his 206, in a relatively rough part of liverpool, his car stands out like a sore thumb; lexus lights f+r, 206 spoiler, full plastic painted to match car, 2.5in exhaust, alloys, etc etc etc. And it hasnt been robbed yet lol Im really starting to think diesel is for me. I was like you mike, thought diesels were crap, lumpy, noisey and slow. But ive come to realise you defo get more bang for your buck, providing that it is a newish car. I know what your saying, I mean I couldnt afford a NICE diesel on my own. Im going to have to get a loan next year when I am getting real money. As people have said, they cruise much better, And are workhorses. Petrol engines are pussys in comparison. They break down at every opportunity and are far more tempremental. I just need to find a car I like, around 1.9TDI with 6 gears now :(
