right, me and some friends are hosting an after work pub-type event on thursday. atmosphere is usually chilled, some food, beer and good company. we need some music for all of this. last time we had some zero7, some random rock classics and some music that i wasnt too happy with. so i figured i'd ask on here seeing as there are at last a few DJs. it's a bit hard for me seeing as i am an emo/indie whore and nobody likes the music i like, so i can't just take my whole itunes library and shuffle it...

i ran it for some time, but i zip-tied the cassette to the spokes so the back hub would stay 'fixed'. Worked really well.

it is nice to have some protection in case of a fall though. getting my palms all torn up from crashing out on rocks or on gravel sucks. i do ride gloveless from time to time. i just ride however feels best at the time.

my mac is being slow. gives me the stupid colourfull ball lots, even on basic stuff. dashboard apps are super slow from time to time. 1yr old macbook core duo, about 2-3gb free of hdd, 1gb ram. annoys me lots.

Two or three thicker boards of mahogany and some thin ones out of purpleheart and the lighter wood. make sure they're all flat and straight. glue them together. voila. very common in custom guitar making.

the footage you import will be interlaced. this is good. you only want to deinterlace when you export/compress the final movie. Deinterlacing before editing will reduce the end quality.
