  1. The problem with pads on smooth rims in the wet is that the thin layer of water that builds up on your rim prevents the pad properly contacting. Thus even if you've got the best we weather pads ever made they won't perform on a wet smooth rim because they're not making proper contact.
  2. I think we managed to keep ourselves entertained today
  3. YEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!! Oh how I miss my H/sink reds... In the mean time, Phat pads have always served me well in the wet.
  4. Isn't that only the first 1/3 of the full video!? Anyway, it's one of the all time greatest trials videos in my eyes.
  5. Tool steel will be an utter slut to try and drill through. Just a heads up for that one.
  6. Why would he need the shit kicked into him? As far as can be told all accounts have been settled? Otherwise people would still be complaining about it. If you order from Dan expect it to take around 3 working days before despatch as is mentioned on the site.
  7. Pretty bad move considering those are the same dropouts as used on the KOT which were infamous for cracking before they added reinforcement struts to the driveside too? Although tubing thickness will have been a factor. Other than the historically dubious dropouts I quite like them, even the graphics. EDIT: Just noticed the prices. Good effort Ashton!!!
  8. Pretty sick! The low quality lens/camera ruined a few of the shots which would have otherwise been good though.
  9. I leave them on my pending list until I actually meet them on a ride. Not gunna add someone who I've never directly spoken with!
  10. If the yarn material is the same that is Being too lazy to look into it anymore I'll put my trust in you clever boys at TB, plus the 2XU stuff looks a little less silly
  11. Denier is the measurement of of grams per 9000 meters of yarn. What relation does that have to the level of compression?

Pretty intense video. Bet he doesn't drink that shit when competing though
  13. I think they'll generate higher sales and therefore higher profit per unit if they sell them (the rims and hubs) separately. The limiting factor really is the availability of straight pull spokes.
  14. A wide, single wall rim with a Mavic equivalent material and joint weld would be my choice. So I guess a mix of MTB/trials specific... EDIT: Or they can machine the ultimate rim out of a massive slab of billet for me?
  15. Pure blue skies, shorts and t-shirts... it's just not fair! Damn you UK weather!!!

Looks like he got invited to the local inbred barbecue day...
  17. The biro method shouldn't work with their new locks.
  18. To add something a bit more constructive... I think the BNP's existence is currently quite important since it puts neccesary political pressure on the leading parties to make (and keep!) some promises about the immigrations systems in place in this country.
  19. I think alot of our grandparents and great grandparents would be ashamed of that (your) opinion
  20. Check out how many subscribers Dave has to thank Danny for. I imagine most of them will not have seen Rowan's video...
  21. LMAO The clocks go back an hour, we don't go back in time an hour you retard.
  22. A visual representation of the problem would definitely help. As outlined above there will only be a bending moment if the cross section is not continuous or if the force is not applied central to the cross section.
