Cheers tom. i've been around the city a lot before as my sister has lived there for a few years- seems full of friendly people and a good night life , ive never been inside the uni though. Also - these top up fees, if i went to a welsh university would i not pay top up fees for my first year, then pay the next 3 years? or do i not pay them at all? i dont really understand how they work. Also had an offer from brunel today, 160 UCAS points whatever that is (sounds very low!). I put my firm choice as loughborough and second choice as birmingham but that doesnt really make much difference in what uni i choose..

Well to be honest, at a time like this...you cant deny its a totally stupid thing to do by the paper. Muslims are going through a lot at the moment with all the terrorism, palestine/israel and everything...things like this just make it worse. Picturing the prophet Mohammed with a bomb on his head is absolutely disgraceful, and muslims will think the paper is making a total mockery of their beliefs (which it is), so especially at a time like this its going to cause chaos. You can say you hate religion and all that crap but at the end of the day, putting that picture in the paper makes people very angry or upset, its insulting people, not the religion itself. Also, if your saying everyones entitled to free speech, there IS a limit. For example, people cant go around saying 'oh yeah id really like to blow up the white house' or 'i love seeing little boys and girls naked'. That picture goes over the limit.

Putting that in a paper is the stupidest thing ever at a time like this, its totally disgraceful! The newspaper editors must actually be mentally retarded to do that, of course muslims are going to be offended. But yeah, muslims are taking it way out of hand in some places...but still...how friggin retarded to put something like that in the paper...

Well yes there has to be a limit to freedom of speech or itd just be total mayhem...people could start openly talking about paedophilia or some shite like that. There is a difference between preaching religion and preaching racial hate, religious preachers dont express hate for other religions or influence violence (usually unless there some corrupt maniac). I personally think religion is a good thing... in areas where religion is still strong it gives a good feeling of brotherhood and 'closeness', and in many cases it can help someone who is ill or dying for example. The feeling of going to heaven is much more appealing than being eaten by worms. Its when science and religion mix that the problems come to be honest. An example of freedom of speech going overboard at the moment is the cartoon published in a danish newspaper (i think) showing the prophet Mohammed (islam) with a bomb as a turban on his head - totally disgraceful if you ask me and a good example of going over the line of 'free speech'.

Oh yeah also do you actually have to go to university interviews? is it all planned etc around you? i got an interview offer from cardiff and im not really interested in going there anymore....i may go anyway since my sister lives there but my only 2 choices right now are loughborough and birmingham really. Is cardiff a good university for engineering? anyone here go?

They look well good, but it must be so hard to do that stuff? the bottom of them doesnt look very big so you must have to be well accurate to do flips etc... looks like you could fall off really easy

Where is the list of 'blaclisted' members or whatever? I personally think he should be banned/suspended for all this. I've only ever had 1 problem with buying/selling on TF and that was with BUD ages ago. TF is good for buying stuff lets keep it that way .

When i had zoo pads on a smooth rim i didnt like them, they seemed 'sticky' and also went a weird shape because of the soft compound. They were set up well . After cleaning your rim they are absolutely amazing though, no slide whatsoever. When it gets a bit dirty after about an hour they begin to slide. I'd recommend plazzies over them, but id also run a grind...nothing beats them

Hmm i think the spacers might be moving slightly as i sanded down the driveshell as it had notches all over it. i dont see why itd make that much difference though really... i tightened it finger tight with the tool and put loctite on it itll do!

Cheers laddies. I just dont want it to strip the thread or anything like that. The spacers are all in the right place etc etc. I'll do it finger tight and then a little nudge with a spanner... shouldnt come loose easily then? ill put some loctite on if i find some.

Got a king spacer kit and the last spacer hangs over the end of the driveshell, is this normal? I used them all as i have a king hub so figured its normal, but when i tightened the lockring quite a bit, it sort of crushed the spacers, and maybe them start to go over each other (if you get what i mean..). It wasnt really that tight...but how tight does the lockring have to be? doesnt seem like theres any 'resistance' on it to make it loosen?

Anyone remember the address for the website where you use an image of yourself and it changes it to make it look older, like a monkey, as a baby, etc etc? If so let me know cheers!

Cheers for all the comments i could consider brunel but im going for 4 years and accommodation will be sooooooooo expensive. I'm going for a foundation year and then i get to choose between any engineering course if i pass, im not sure when i have to choose by. Not really sure what i'd go into, maybe electronical as i have already done a project for an engineering scheme on it and it was pretty good. I can see what theyre all like in the first year . Thanks for those loughborough links, looks like a decent place i will hopefully get to look around the halls on a visit, tank rider itd be awesome if you could show me around sometime, ill let you know when im going cheers mate. oh and what exactly are top up fees? ive heard a few things about them like wales students not having to pay them this year but what are they, how much £? also is there a safe place to put my bike? no chance of it getting stolen or anything (ill probably get insurance)? where do you guys keep yours?
