The rocket-on-car thing made it easier to explain to myself anyway. About the speedo - they cant work on the wheels surely? Otherwise they wouldnt work in the air? Or do they have seperate speedometers for taxi-ing, taking off?

Just found this You may have heard the tall tale that "asparagus urine" is linked to higher intelligence. In fact, it's the result of a simple chemical reaction. Asparagus contains a sulfur compound called mercaptan. (It's also found in rotten eggs, onions, garlic, and in the secretions of skunks.) When your digestive tract breaks down this substance, by-products are released that cause the funny scent. The process is so quick that your urine can develop the distinctive smell within 15 to 30 minutes of eating asparagus. Not found the chemical in sugar puffs, but yeah, as tomm said itll be some chemical thats in sugar puffs that stinks of them

The wheels are totally seperate from the plane/car, the speed of the plane isnt the speed of the wheels. The speed of the wheels is affected by the ground (i.e. conveyer belt), the speed of the plane is effected by the thrust of the engines in the air.
-
No... thats the riddle The conveyer belt is equal and opposite to the speed of the PLANE not the wheels.
-
It wont go the same speed as the wheels, itll go the same speed as the car. The conveyer belt cant change the speed of the car, it can only give resistance to the wheels. The thrust from the rocket/engine will continue to make the plane/car go forward, but the wheels will have to go twice as fast for that to happen.
-
The conveyer belt cant physically change the planes speed, only give resistance to the wheels. Say you have a rocket on top of a car in neutral, and as the car speeds up due to the rocket, the conveyer belt will go the same speed but in reverse as the car, but it can only give resistance to the wheels, not the car. As the wheels are free moving, they will continue to move forward due to the thrust from the rocket, but will need to go faster due to the extra resistance, so they will go about twice as fast, and the car will move forward.

Nah its nothing to do with the delay. Just did a google search and found this You can test this with a piece of paper and a matchbox car (which has free rolling wheels like an airplane… or like a car in neutral.) Place the paper on a table, and place the matchbox car on the paper. Take your hand, and hold the car still with a lightly placed finger on top of the car. At this point you are providing no forward thrust, and the “conveyor belt” is not moving. The car remains stationary. Now, continuing to hold the airplane with a lightly placed finger, and start to pull the paper out from under the car, in the backwards direction. According to Neal’s logic, the car should push back on your finger with the same force that you are exerting on the paper… but this is not what will happen. You will find that your lightly placed finger is not stressed to any noticeable extent. The paper will slide out, and the wheels will spin, but the car will not be propelled backwards. The reason for this is is that the rotation of the wheels is not related to the movement of the matchbox car except by the very small friction component of the axle, which your lightly placed finger can easily control.

ah i can sorta get it now, i think...the conveyer belt would only have an effect on the speed of the wheels...and theyre seperate, so theyll just spin faster than normal and the plane will move forwards
-
explain more please...draw a diagram, lol
-
So is the conveyer belt counteracting the speed of the wheels or the speed of the plane? if it counteracts the speed of the wheels surely it wont go anywhere? Unless it starts sliding forwards because of the thrust?

I wouldnt bother messing, just get a new hose. Is it front or rear, main hose or crossover? I may have some spare hosing in my garage...if not you can always put a topic here and im sure someone will have. Noz

QUOTE(deanie-b @ Feb 20 2006, 05:43 PM) ←Hold the other bolt?, Or undo it the opposite way to what you do the other bolt at the same time If its properly stuck doing that will probably just undo/tighten the other bolt instead Try taking the other bolt fully off, and holding the axle in place and then unscrew the stuck bolt. Maybe put some cloth over it and then use mole grips to prevent marking/damaging it. Dont clamp hard, just lightly to stop it spinning.

How far away from the rim are the pads? Got any pics? Simple really, if theres not much gap between the rim and pads, and its still not biting right, you need a bleed. Easy way to tell if youve got air in there - loosen off TPA - pull lever lightly - do the pads move as soon as you pull the lever? If not - air.

Why are you up at almost 5am?!?! hahaha

Ah i see, changing channel didnt fix the problem then.......hmm If you get an ethernet cable itll definately work, you'll just be able to connect to the router through the cable and change the settings on that ip tomm gave you in the last thread. I really dont know what to suggest to your problem on CS though

Sorted it now no worries. If anyone was wondering, i copied and pasted the table as 'Order1', deleted 'Order' and renamed 'Order1' to 'Order'. Worked a charm its a bit gay that access doesnt do it automatically though.
-
Right......ive made a form that creates a new 'order' - its for my school's sports equipment. I created some example data and entered it into the form. This made the data come up in the 'Order' table. The primary field, 'Order ID' is in autonumber format. I deleted all the example data from the table by simple deleting the rows. However, now when i create a new piece of data on the form, it autonumbers it, not as 1, but as the last autonumber. For example, i added 9 pieces of example data. I then deleted them all. But on the form the autonumber still comes up as 10, not as 1. Very very annoying!!!!! Does anyone know how to stop it? Cheers.

Just wondering, does the bible agree with theories of the big bang and the expansion of the universe?

Yeah no problem...just do what ^ said. Why'd you change to channel 14 anyway?
