Keep it real guys. Here is some Punk Rock, Chilled Out, not a single jam whip or backwards nose wheelie (even though I love em), riding for your weekend.
  2. Go give it a go! If you guys like this type of video, I'll keep making them.
  3. I just need the University kids to leave campus and the snow to go away to get a full edit going. Stoked on riding!
  4. Filmed this today. Sub zero temps and high winds have limited the spots available. Happily, one of my favourites was well sheltered. These videos are of spots that have been so good to me that I have gone back hundreds of times. Don't expect bangers, just fun every-day type riding at a great spot. Bangers are being saved for later https://youtu.be/HNxYsrXnzww
  5. It's the stock stem on the console, 1 spacer underneath. Thanks guys! I hope to do more once I get a filmer involved. I agree, some of the lines were a little sketchier than they should have been (whip), but it's scary enough riding alone in Mexico that I just wanted to get it done and get out haha.
  6. Hey! I've been on the road for the last few months following the climbing dirtbags and the sun. With my bike in the back of the car (in pieces to make room for all the camping and climbing gear), I've been able to ride in places that have never been ridden in before. When I ended up in Mexico and walked by this abandoned resort on the way to a rock climb, I knew this would make a neat video. I hope you enjoy! Currently have almost no internet! Not sure if the video works, hope it does!
  7. Thanks dude! I put a lot more work into the hex video for sure. My riding has improved since then, and I love the new bike. This video was shot in an hour after a long day of climbing. I'm stoked to do better and start work on a full video. Rafal, I'm super happy you enjoyed my videos on the comp-trials rig. I watched the last one, I actually forgot about it for a couple years! It makes me want to ride the old Simtra again. I built it back up a month ago but then I left on this climbing trip and haven't had a chance to get on it (only had room in the car for a 24"). I've changed a lot since the simtra days though, I no longer enjoy counting inches and working tap/gap/sidehop moves over and over. I much prefer trying to be creative and doing funny things on the bike. BMX and life in general taught me that. You need to enjoy the process right? I am sad that I abandoned my talent after the world champs in 2008, but I am happier now than I was when I was training all the time. Peace out guys! Ride on and have fun always!

    The Spot - JamesB

I actually stopped riding trials for a few years after the world champs in 2008. I only rode BMX during that time. Then I stopped riding all together and became a travelling climber for a year. I still plan on traveling for climbing, but this time with a bike in the car! I feel like it's all coming back quite nicely. I've been on the trials bike for a month or 2 now. Mark - Its an untitled song by Dead Meadow. Thanks guys!
  9. Don't expect anything amazing in this one. I'm just playing around at my favourite local spot. I felt the need to test out a new memory card. Shot in an evening.
  10. Hey, So it's been a long time since I've ridden. Got stoked lately and started heading out with a tripod. Here it is!

    Ottawa Sesh

For 6 years all i did was train to be world champion. Most of it was not fun at all. I got 2nd place in Italy, and found out that there was no prize money. I payed for flight, hotel, everything, even my canadian jersey, and got nothing back. If I lived in europe, sure I would keep training like I did. But at this time there is no reason for me to do that. If I want to compete I need to waste thousands of my own money to do so. On the other hand, I can do demos with the skill I allready have and make money, not loose it. Now, I ride what makes me happy. BMX does. Simple. I still ride trials at group rides, comps, and demos, because that is when I enjoy it.

    Ottawa Sesh

Hey Guys, A ride went down in Ottawa last weekend and we got some footage. I made a quick edit. http://vimeo.com/4955507 On the 26 this time, saw the hate on the other thread...I switch often.
  13. Here are some records I have seen in videos/heard from people who were there, and the people that did them. Side - 56" - Damon Tap - 60.6" - Aurelien Hook - 72" - Gilles (first try too) Gap - 10ft - A number of people By the way, on-offs do NOT count. Any top rider, if they get on to something but then have to pop back off, they get very angry, me included. There is no satisfaction in getting wheels on to something, unless I can stay on it and continue a line.
  14. lol nobody listens to my music. I tried to pick a song that most people would like out of my collection of Melodic death, folk, doom, acoustic, and ambient black metal. I guess it still isn't mainstream enough. Ah well, I am glad you guys liked the riding though! That is what matters.
  15. haha I don't know how I do those Craig For a while it was forced and I had to really push, trying to do it like Hegedus. But now it is natural and easier than with the brake. Thanks for the replies guys!
  16. Link is up now! I am loving the new frame, so light, stiff, it goes exactly where I want it. I can feel the difference to my Simtra. I think it suits me better. And it shows in my riding Really trying to put the fun back into it, and that is what this video is about.
  17. Hi guys! Made a video finally! It was filmed one afternoon at queens. A little over 4 mins, 63mb. Song is one of my favourite folk metal songs by Heidevolk. Hope you like it! http://koxx.fr/index.php?lg=fr_FR&sec=...DB47f93e599c483 Youtube link coming EDIT: Here is the youtube link!
  18. Hi guys! This year I am riding for koxx on the hydroxx 26. It is the lightest and stiffest thing I have ever ridden! Feels amazing. Anyways, here are the pics from the weekend: http://www.observedtrials.net/vb/showthread.php?t=35125 Side to the car was 52". Nailed it to the top a couple times. Filming for a video is my next move James
  19. Street + comp: Gilles Coustellier Vincent Hermance for his technique Aurelien Fontenoy for his smoothness
  20. All these videos are old, over a year a lot of them! The most recent isn't there and it is still 8 months old. Don't judge my riding by these. I am almost 18 now and I have been training so hard I didn't want to film cause it slows me down! I will have a new vid out in the spring when I have my koxx bike and when there is no snow. Then you can judge me all you want haha Thanks guys!
  21. haha yup! Now I am on the cheap soccer pads, they don't even have plastic, just foam. The 4x4s feel so bad now, but they worked for 2 years. Wear what makes you feel safe, whatever it is. You will ride much better.
  22. Longer lines...working on that. I'm in need of some new riding spots for those. The next video will have more lines for sure. Thanks for all the replies guys!!! James
