Don't worry, trials has been with me for 13 years, it's here to stay Exploration is extremely important in my riding though. If I never explored the world of BMX, then I wouldn't have picked up an inspired. The only discipline I haven't explored yet is downhill/enduro. It's new and exciting, and keeps me stoked on bikes!

Had a bit of a struggle with motivation here, partly because I'm getting into downhill riding, but I think it turned out pretty good!

Here is another lesser rule. Nose manuals with the front brake on are not nose manuals. As with any rule, there are exceptions. If slowing down or coming to a stop is part of the trick, then you get a pass. If you are just doing a nose manual and coming off the end of the pad with speed, no brake please!

Lots and lots of things. Any fun type of cycling happens to be the exception. Not fun types include road and xc racing.

Pretty sure it's on the coast in Maine, USA. I'm amazed at how big that bike is on him, and the number of sponsors he apparently has. It looks like he is swinging from a tree branch when he ups to rear.

I had no plan really, it's just that the only time I can ride most days is in the evening. This one just took a few days. I felt like I hadn't filmed anything in a long while so I pulled out the cam. I plan on making a dirt edit soon. I have been building like mad the last 2 months and the lines are finally flowing.

yeah. Slacker head tube and soft front feels amazing. I could go for a very slightly higher bb if it were my trials rig though. Maybe 5mm drop instead of 15 or 20mm drop.

Not really trials, but trials skill was in play for sure. I've been riding a DJ bike a lot lately. Watching Brandon Semenuk's Raw 100 got me into it. I am tempted to put a low gear on this for trials, but the strength of the rear drop-out for rear wheel moves concerns me. DJ bikes are the best feeling rides out there. Wish there was a trialsy one.

Yeah, probably not possible. I would love to actually have someone to ride and film with. I feel like my video quality, and the number of them, would go up like crazy. 90% of my filming is me and a tripod. And 95% of my riding is alone now that I'm not riding Joyride150 all the time. Having another stoked rider would be super motivating. Liking the Vlogs Ali. I considered doing them, but I felt like too big a dork just filming my how-tos. Hard to watch yourself speak eh?

I was told by the tech at the distributor that I should expect a 3 hour job for my first one. If I spend 3h on it and it doesn't work after...

My two favourite non trials bikes. -DMR Sect with spank/O1 wheels, fox 831 34 fork, spank bars and stem, bontrager g0 tires. Now with snafu cranks and chromag seat. -Remedy 2016 with shorter stem on it for rippin, now with bontrager rhythm elite rims. I'm planning on trading in the remedy for a Trek Slash, or a 2017 remedy this year. Hopefully with the new super deluxe/pike suspension. I'm currently overhauling the dropper post. Developed play and squish. Fun! The dirtjumper is perfect. I am interested in a dj frame with a strong disk mount and low gear though. Old school trials could be the new new school

I've considered bmx bars with a front load stem on my console but never pulled the trigger.

If you're riding brakeless a bmx with a low gear would kick ass. If you want to run brakes though, the arcade is far superior. Disks are way better for street than u-brake or v.

My personal favourite edit I've made is "More Shaka Less Pogo," or "You Cool Man?", because I broke all the rules Just do what you love man! You got some sick parks, I'd be cruisin them and learning all sorts of weird tricks. Weirder the better. Candybar crankflip manual to fufanu to sidelander.

Tips from a failure (me) on how to be pro: -Only do tricks that will look impressive to other people. Drops, flips, and fj tailwhips. They must look very dangerous for you to get any attention. Lines must be 20ft in the air. -Include long scenic intros in all your videos, panoramic views and drones are good too, with some slow-mo HD footage of you just riding down a street or doing a wheelie. Actually, just make the whole video on top of a mountain or something. Don't forget to gopro everything. -Use pop music. Anything edgy and cool will not be enjoyed by the most people possible. -Have as many sponsor logos as possible in the video, even if all they did for you is give you stickers for 10% off. This will make you seem even more pro. -Follow up your viral video with behind the scene edits.
