  1. It feels like it does, but I guess buying it because of gaining height would be the wrong reason, as I don´t think you would jump noticeable higher. The best reasons to buy one is: they are fairly light (mine is 1603g with downtube reinforcement) but tank strong, custom geo and you don´t have to deal with with f**ked up threads, unaligned brakemounts. You don´t have to experiment with spacers to fit the cranks and such annoying stuff. BB and headtube are already faced... Apart from my Koxx Kenny, i had (sometimes very small, sometimes big, mostly brakemounts and/or BBshell) problems with every new frame(and i had lots, Koxx Ozonys, Coust...), but not with this one - everything was perfect from the start - they offer an outstanding build quality. You should try one to feel if you like it - which could be difficult - I don´t think there are too many around. Price is around high end alloy frames, or a tad less. Depending on how you want the frame, best would be to contact Dmitry from tritonbikes.com - nice guy, will answer all your questiones. 3 years for a Marino - I guess that´s a hard to beat price/performance ratio!
  2. they absolutley do! This could easily be my last frame - according to people and Dmitry those frames can handle 5 years+ of hard riding and my riding is far from hard... And even if I ever get tired of this self choosen geo, I would keep this one as a piece of art and buy another Triton. After experiencing the feeling this frame gives first person, I personally would never want to ride anything else for pure trials.
  3. although you go so big it´s still buttersmooth... very impressive! How did you like the rockman forks geowise compared to the Trialtechs?
  4. Due to the good reviews I would love to ride a TT, but 410mm length combined with 40 mm rake is what takes me off them - I guess they would feel like a 400x45mm rake fork, which is not what I´m after - oh boy, if I would have known Aprebic-TryAll forks would be discontinued, I would have bought a few pairs... The upcoming TNN forks sound awesome, but 30 mm rake would be overkill I guess with my 72,5 ha - I´m very picky about my ha, but I´d rather have it a tad too slack than a tad too steep... btw anyone out there who rode a really steep setup - f.e. an old Justice (73 ha if i remember correct)or a first gen Cannibal with a TryAll fork or maybe a Rockman fork?
  5. thanks - sounds promising. Did you ride it yourself or is a friend of you having it? how long is it already lasting? Anyone else has experience with them? (Or has someone a IS2000 or +20 TryAll disc fork in new or newish condition lying around)
  6. As they are the only forks that come close to the geo I like (400x35)and have a nice simple look, I´m thinking about buying them.I know the new Echo SL are the same geo, but I don´t trust them, they are too light... So does anyone have experience with them? Please inklucde your riding style, weight and time of usage.
  7. this was filmed by Kenishi and edited by TRA. you can see AndyT in the vid filming... was there too - good times
  8. how did that fork (26") change the feel of your bike? Anyone who came from a 400x35 fork would share his experience(inkluding your headangle) please?
  9. different forks due to the steerer tube being a tad too short:
  10. 1085(35) 72,5 +45 379 DT Revolution Spokes and alloy nipples; the rest should be pretty much obvious.

    55 I 25

Silvretta, Austria - met some British boulderers there which I found really odd - it´s a 2000m+ mountain in the middle of nowhere... I was filming a friend doing some boulders and he forced me to bring my bike up - next to the filming stuff - there were some really dangerous situations hiking up there...

    55 I 25

    my new video - Enjoy!
  13. two topics in one day - premiere for me! As the title says - anyone knows it by heart? I think 262 and 266? edit: 3X, both sides
  14. I will keep it; even if it´s not as good as the Echo in every aspect, apart from the outer teeth ring; I don´t care about broken pawls, springs etc... everything replaceable - but i care about the outer teeth ring, which like you said could be in case of failure like a chainsnap(which i fear the most, as i snapped a LOT)... Lockrings are a nightmare on the ENOs, but i got a very nice tool whith which i can do and undo it like nothing... I was just a bit tempted as i have one lying around which i will use to complete a used bike I´m going to sell... I´m wondering myself why the ENO holds up so good, I killed a CK classic within a year... maybe it´s just the penible servicing at the beginning of usage... anyway, thanks for feedback!
  15. most people do; but I have never had problems with an ENO - when they are new I service them every two weeks and as soon as the bearing stops greasing, they are great; came from King and had two (first for 2 years which is on a friends bike since more than 2 years now - one pawl broke and the other one I´m using now is already two years old) - no skipping ever - only a few noises when they are new; I would go for the Echo mainly because of the more engagement points and because i get it for about 40 euros only, but the thin outer ring keeps me from doing...
  16. thanks for the fast answer! ah that´s all I need to know; ENO and its massive outer teeth will stay;
  17. I´m not talking about the real "SL", but the "TR" which is mostly called SL on the forums, although i guess there wouldn´t be really much difference... I have seen quite a few broken ones - usually the outer teeth; So when you broke yours - did it literally explode and it was more or less like a chainsnap or did it break, you realized it, got off the bike healthy, went home, drank a coffee and mounted another one?
  18. got downloaded and went straight to my "Classics"-folder and has been watched at least ten times now. a very steep carrier that not many videos had lately! do you have a higher res version too - I would appriciate an upload of it.
  19. your up to front looks so fluid and dialled now - especially for that the size!! are you still riding 18:16? if so, does it work on this frame with the longer stays or do you have to use a halflink?
  20. You bought it in February, so six months are over. Important: After six months the burden of proof switches to the buyer, which isn´t making things easier for you now. Warranty-law in the UK is very complicated - and there are a lot of misbelieves about this topic out there - I´m no specialist either, as I´m from abroad. I latley had an argument about this topic on another forum which clearly showed me, why I should keep my trials life seperated from my life as a (in 3 months becoming - just to make clear) lawyer. Don´t let someone fool you, but be correct - if the frame broke because it was your fault, deal with it, that happens. If this wasn´t the case then at first read this article - which is very easy to understand, even if you are not one of this fancy suit wearing freaks. klick Now it´s up to you to decide what to do, maybe you know a lawyer in your family who can give you more answers. I´ll not chime in this maybe following discussing, as this is a kind of topic were lots of people have opinions or experiences ("but once this happend to me, so...") which they mix up to half-true conclusions about existing law and I have other things to do with my time than arguing about it - for example go riding. But i hope I could at least help a tiny little bit.
