  1. Joseph was just there to make up the numbers... He had to have something to do with Jesus' birth!
  2. Not even ' ' cuts it...
  3. HE CAME BACK AT EASTER YOU N00BZ!
  4. adshdjkd!!!AJAH! I hope you're fluent in drunk.
  5. I think unless you can top Banksy, or had permission to spray there...don't post it.
  6. Merry Christmas all! Mum and my sister are sat downstairs singing shreaking christmas songs. Jaws should be broken!
  7. Hang on, what brake do you have? Everyone's just guessing you have a Magura HS33, but they could be wrong...
  8. I'd love for someone to somehow get a drivetrain on that somehow..so it'd be an actual bike instead of sitting scootery thing!
  9. Too quiet for my liking! Seem quite tempermental as well from what I've heard about them, pain to set up, then they don't always work? I don't think I'd ever get one on the back, that'd mean getting rid of my Profile! Which I don't want to do...
  10. Why does it need changing? If you've broken something, replace it. If not, why bother?
  11. Just got back from the pub! EPIC WIN.
  12. Click here for the link to the actual story - http://www.thecomeupboard.com/forum/showthread.php?t=33936 I'll edit once I've read it... EDIT: Surely they wouldn't need to test aluminium frames, etc for lead? I thought they'd just want to test the steel products...
  13. Anyone else seen any big arguements, closed threads due to flaming, etc since this thread was made? I haven't.
  14. If you snapped a spring, then the bitsof swarf are probably just that. I very much doubt that you've done anymore damage to the hub! Give it all a good clean out with WD40, then when you get the new spring, just get some Halfords/Finishline wet lubricant on the internals to keep them moving properly. Will be much better after that!
  15. Alright, alright! I was tired...I missed out certain posts...leave me alone.
  16. Ah yeah, I didn't think about the pro rider's contract thing... When will these frames be in the country? if it's nearer summetime, and if there is a mod frame, I wouldn't mind testing it thinking about it... Seeing as I hibernate from riding in winter, I've gotten pretty bad! Should pick up soon when the weather's better!
  17. Without the numbers, the numberplate says 'DUMB'
  18. It'd be harder to set up though, plus I've never had a problem with my brake sitting on top! It could make braking worse too, seeing as the force is going away from the tube, not into it? Although it's sat in the triangle... hmm... It'll pull the pads away instead of pushing them into the brake though, which could effect it?
  19. Most likely to be your brake pads wobbling. To see if the headset is tight, turn the front of the bike round 90degrees, and try it then. If it wobbles, then the headset is loose, if not, it's your brake pads wobbling. Nothing to worry about really, most disc brake pads have slight play in them.
  20. I only quickly read through it, plus I'm tired...let me off? Ben - I know it wouldn't be worth sending the frame to me, I barely ride now, plus I ride mod, I don't have a video camera either so I wouldn't be able to make any videos! It'd get a far better test from someone else, got a few people in mind who'd be good for testing it.
  21. I'm sorry, but what help is that for him, seriously? He's posting up his first trials video for us to see, I know that we were all at that level of riding once, so posting up just to say how bad the video was isn't going to boost his confidence for his next video is it? I'd like to see more videos from him, to see how much he improves over time. Then eventually I can sit an moan about how much better he is than me! I really can't see the point in posting up what you did, yeah he asked for all comments, and ADVICE. Now is the best time for us to help him improve his riding, seeing as we can see what he's doing. Telling him to not post a video until he's good is just dumb!
  22. This is a seriously good idea! Never seen a company letting us riders actually test the products before production! I think a contract would be a good idea though, just to cover yourselves. Lets say that someone recieves the frame, builds it up, goes riding, and the brake mount snaps or something, injuring the rider, they could suit you... But with a signed contract saying that they're riding it at their own risk, and must take full responsibility for any damages to it, then you should be alright! Easiest way to do that, would be just email the contract, then they print, sign, scan, and email it back. Job done. I'd like to take part in it, but I know I'm no where near good enough to test a frame! (is it mod or stock?) I do think that letting pro riders test it is a good idea though, seeing as it will definately see some abuse! Also, what happens if someone else has a go on it, and dents it? Does the person in charge of it take responsibility for that, and has to send it on? - It's a 'dent it, send it' rule, isn't it?
  23. Oooh! Same geo', make it lighter, with Magura AND disc mounts, not one or the other, and you'll make some sales!
  24. Everyone saying 'go out and try a bike' ...where exactly? I don't let anyone I don't know on my bike, regardless of how friendly they may seem when asking. I'm sure many of you are the same too. It's not like every bike shop has built trials bikes on display, the sport isn't that big yet! I went for a mod, as when I started riding, I just stopped riding bmx, so I was used to the smaller bike, plus I was pretty small too, so it seemed best. I've tried to ride stocks before, and I just don't get on with them! They feel all big and sketchy to me, doesn't feel like I have total control like I do on my mod. Best thing to do, as see how you feel manouvering your (26"?) bike about, and then the same on your lad's bmx. Obviously neigher of those are specialist trials bikes, they're set up completely different to trials bikes! If you can easily get your bike about, balance on the spot (trackstand) on it, etc, then I'd go for a stock. But if it's easier on your son's bike, I'd go for a mod. 24s are more streety, spinny, trials/bmx bikes. They can still be used for 'proper trials' but they're just big bmxs with brakes really! EDIT: Just another bit I though I'd add. If I lived a mile away from a beach with some decent riding spots, I'd happily ride there everyday! I used to ride 5miles on my mod just to ride the nearest town, which isn't even that good! Also used to ride about 2 1/2miles to a little industrial place with a few pallets and a loading bay...
  25. Bought COD5 today, it's awesome! Just doing solo missions at the moment, just took over the german camp and jumped around to celebrate, then decided to switch it off... Prefer it to the COD4 story mode anyway!
