Drilled rims WILL save you weight but you'd probably be better having a shave or cutting a mm of the tip of your hair. (my reason, through guessing) is that it causes a layer in between brake pad and rotar and it causes a cushion in between the two so it doesnt lock it runs and is able to get to a higher temprature before locking and so will bed in faster
