No self respecting bike shop will grind anything on your bike... I doubt its covered in their standard repair list 'Whack out the grinder and blitz the damn thing - £10'

from memory (some please verify) the code on the bearings should be 6802 2RS. And yeah forteh's right, they need pressing in Big vice is the way, if not its possible with a big hammer, though not recommended

If I've got the right idea from what your saying, you're replacing the driver bearings? Good luck My profile driver, not sure if they've changed it now like but it had a shoulder halfway down. The idea was to press one bearing in from one side all the way up to this shoulder, then press the next one in to the depth of the other bearings. Then do the same on the other side. This is why you cant just hammer straight through all the bearings, because this shoulder's in the way :/ The only 2 ways I know possible are to cut 3 slots into the bearing outer case, then it should fall to pieces. Or hammer from the otherside. This is seriously a ball ache of a job so be prepared to spend a while doing it

6 years ago, when tar was cool, I used to draw loads of vertical lines (perpendicular to the rim edge) then drag the brake a bit to smush the tar over the rim surface and voila, nice even application. But now I have a grinder, so im cool again seriously though, tar can be dangerous so you should never apply too much, else youll find yourself going over the edge of a drop and your brake not letting go. This is not fun.
