I wouldn't say that "If you're promised two days of comps then thats what there should be" mate, as I'm sure if it were realisically possible, then it would've happened. However, I suspect factors beyond their control kinda affected that a bit? Say.. lack of observers or numbers, proving how much more support this kinda events need? I'm with them that a free for all was probably a better idea! Yet there's still insurance to be paid, and equipment to be hired, which does cost money. Why be that fussed about the lack of competition anyway? We're not that competitive that we need the chance to try and prove ourselves at every opportunity Besides there was plenty of competition that day without the need for observers!

+1 on the £35 I'm afraid - should've been £25 for the one day's entry. However I'm not going to be asking for it back.. I had a wicked ride in the comp on Saturday, and had great fun taking pics, riding, and pissing about with forklift trucks on the Sunday, *well* worth the extra tenner, even more so knowing how much these kind of events cost to put on. Fair enough if you didn't ride at all, or weren't around for the Sunday - the organisers should be on top of keeping the payments!

Actually I'd give it a clean out as Max advised if it's not been done already, it'll mean it's less likely to skip in the future. That, and using a decent lube (Finishline wet for example) will reduce wear and should give it a longer, healthier (and louder :wink2:) life. But hey, maybe I'm just old fashioned?

I would've recommended this WD Passport until it stopped working! Infact no, I'd still recommend it - small, not expensive, usb powered, ideal. Just hope it doesn't go tits up. Cheers for the link John, I've just 'bought' a copy.

Hey guys, I've got a Western Digital Passport 320gb external drive (one of these:) Which has stopped working - when plugged in, the LED illuminates, the drive spins, and is recognised by the computer, but nothing comes up in terms of visible folders. Are there any 'free' software packages that might be able to help (on mac or windows), or if not - does anyone know any suitable data recovery specialists that can sort it, but won't charge hundreds! If you're parents won't let you, show them some how-to videos, perhaps get your dad to do it if they're not comfortable letting you do it! Buy one, Halfords, Argos, or any DIY store will have them for less than £15. That's rubbish, a rim will last many more grinds than that.

Trials has officially gone full circle! So awesome to see that, it literally brought me back 5 years. I spotted the tyre tracks on the gravel there yesterday - had wondered what on earth had been going on there! Was great so see so many people there, on such a beautiful day - how fitting to the occasion. RIP Mate

Sorry chaps, it's clear the OP meant for the Team M-A-D riders, ie Drummond, Pearson, Myself, Mccaw, Manning etc, not the general public! As for myself - had a big problem the other day where my chain split whilst I was warming up less than 2 minutes before a demo. Bit of a nightmare, but some spare links and a decent chain tool saved the day with seconds to spare.

Gonna have to disagree there - you can; it's £25 a pair. :wink2:

I'm assuming you're using longer bolts with the booster, Ryan? If so, how much longer are they than the current bolts - you need to check that distance, with the combined booster+spacers. If they're longer then they may be fouling on the frame somewhere meaning the clamps aren't being done up tight.
