  1. Thanks for the invite mate but i`m in Manchester. I am sure i will get over it, We all have bad days (i think), or do you get to a level when you stop having them and get everything first time?
  2. I thought i would practice what i preach and take my video camera out with me today. The object was to video myself and then play it back for a bit of self critique. Holy sh*t what a shock i got. Because i ride on my own i have no one to tell me were i am going wrong, I'm always watching vids and stuff and try to copy what you guys do. Jesus did i come down to earth with a bang. I bought my new build in February (adamant A1) but don't seem to be moving round the bike enough, its like i am still riding a standard mtb frame and not taking advantage of the new frame geometry. I am pleased that i have noticed my bad habits and can work on it ,but it has left me felling well p*ssed off. tips please as my confidence has just taken a severe beating.
  3. When you list your item on e bay you are asked which postal service you will provide for the buyer. If you listed first class post as your postal method then he excepts the terms and conditions of first class when he bids (unless you agree a different method after the auction is finished). A. Do not contact him and try and sort it out as it always gets ugly. B. Contact E bay and let them sort it out. This is not your problem.
  4. I have got the new one. thanks for the advice i will try a shorter stem. Hopfully my arms will feel longer than 2ft
  5. I have been riding my new build for about four months now and i am struggling with the new setup.( but still loving it) When i am on the bike i feel as though i am too far forward and struggle getting my ares over the back wheel, it feels like i can't stretch far enough back, but i just thought it was me getting used to a new bike. This weekend when i was out i tilted my bars back a little which has helped a lot. Do you think my stem is too long?. I have a Adamant A1(short) with a Echo hifi stem (130mmx15). I am 5ft 8 Advice would be great. Thanks.
  6. I also have trouble riding powder switch :$ . I liked the mixed vid theme, i think the snowboarding and trials complement each other.
  7. Nice vid, top riding and sliding I have been boarding in tignes great resort. It was interesting to see that you ride your board goofy and have your right foot forward on your bike. I am the opposite i ride my board regular stance and have my left foot on my forward pedal. Can you ride switch ?
  8. Loved it. I have always wanted to see the exchange square area being ridden, as i haven't got the balls to ride it myself :$ Manchester city center is a Top place to ride. There are some big moves to be had and some nasty drops in front of M&S. Great vid guys
  9. Sorry shenanigans is what old people say. Fcuk i must be old :$
  10. Holy sh*t mate. I wish i started at your age with all that no fear shenanigans. Every time i do a drop i am sh*ting myself. I'm so glad i get sick pay from work. Anyway you could be world champ in the forthcoming years, i think thats a bit out of my reach now
  11. Prais the lord brother I am 34 this year, started trials when i was 29. Got the car, mortgage and the misses all that bollo*cks. i sometimes get weird looks :$ but fcuk em its all in the mind.
  12. Check her out, had loads of fun on this old girl. :$
  13. Being a Manchester lad myself i know all the areas. Manchester city center is awesome there is some really smart stuff to ride and some cool people about. The apres bike is excellent, with lots of bars and clubs. (Mad chester is back) but also gun chester as well
  14. The DDG is about four or five year old, but is now a single speed. It is a tank but still great to ride and learn on. I will be giving it a mate so he can start and come out with me
  15. The onza pedals are very similar to the echo. I bought all the parts from tartys maybe 1or2 a month and gradually built the parts up because i could not justify spending that amount in one hit. Then sent the parts back to tartys and they built the bike for me. It saved me getting finance and paying loads of interest, and i enjoyed getting all the bits.
  16. cheers. sh*t sorry guys, can i move it to bike pics?
  17. Hi people i have finally finished Sorry it is not very original but when i started buying the parts it was. i have moved from this to this Just been out to sort my brakes out and have a bit of a session, i cant believe how different it feels It seems like i am well over the the front end, i was a bit scared getting the A1 on the back wheel, but when i did it was like a dream. Any one got any new school tips to help me progress a bit quicker (been riding the shooter for about four years). Big up respect to the guys at tartys, Cheers Adam.
  18. I think they are just for different frames, i seem to have sorted it. I will try to fit my front now but a little wasted from watching the hattan, still drinking at 6:00 this morning Thanks for the help. Come on the hitman
  19. Just putting the finishing touches to my A1 build and have fitted my rear brake, but i seem to have some steel spacers Left over Do these need to be used? I have just bolted them straight on the frame, They seem to wort fine but i am a bit worried. I am going to set up my bb7 in the morning. I have read the fitting post on here but dose anyone have any good tips. The instructions in the maggie box are a bit hard to follow as they seem to be for the older brakes. Sorry for being a bit dim :$ Thanks for the help.
  20. All i need to finish my build for crimbo are brakes. Using search i have managed to find out that the avids front disc are a very good cable brake and way cheaper than a hope mono trials. Going for a standard maggie on the back. Q: what size rotor do i need, and are they easy to fit from the box, same question for the maggie. Sorry about the double post i slipped.
  21. Sorry to jump in but i have a smiler problem. Need a set of brakes for my new build. Obviously a Maggie for the back, but up at the front i have no idea. I have bought disk only forks so that narrows it down.is the hope mono trial worth its price tag?
  22. Hmmmmmm Chocolate. How about naming the frame: Galaxy, Mr milk or even curly whirly (for members who are old enough) that had holes in it.
  23. Call the bike: "BEHAVE" Its not like you are going to on that.
  24. Thanks for the replies. I have my DDG shooter, plus two xc bikes. Also Tartys are finishing a adamant A1 build for me (£1000.00+ build) Cant wait! bit worried though, its a lot of money. So i definitely need some insurance. I will post some picks of the bike when it is finished, but cant afford any brakes yet. While i am here i would like to thank Tarty bikes for all the help they have given me over the last couple of months.
  25. At the moment i don't have anywhere to store my bikes, they are situated at a relatives. I have recently discovered that my loft is boarded out and was building up a bike in there (there is a lot of space) Thinking of putting some bike hooks in and storing my other bikes up there, but when i went to put them on the house insurances the premium went off the chart. Any one know of any good bike insurance company's ? Have used search but post where very old. Thanks
