  1. just bought some odyssey linear slicks £6.99 from alans cycles .... hope they're good but at that price you cant realy go wrong can you (Y)
  2. sorry i'd read the name wrong on joe_eldings post :) oh well my above post proves the "7005 is weaker + lighter" point though B)
  3. i'd say street to watch e.g. vids but natural to ride there's more variety... no two rocks are the same :P
  4. oh dear :P that still doesnt help the fact you posted a comment "7005 is weaker + lighter" with out proof want more proof then here you go: 06 Zoo! Python = 1.85kg/4.1lbs (made from U6 heat treated aluminium) Zona Zip = Brushed 2.125kg/4.67lbs, Painted 2.178kg/4.80lbs (made from 7005alu) details taken from tarty bikes two almost identical frames with different grades of aluminium, weight difference is obvious point proven that its heavier :)
  5. what and t-pro's dont... ask robbie_hope his first ones down tube collapsed in on its self then snapped on the head tube, number two cracked on the head tube in about 4 months i'm not saying they suck just that saying they're beter than a t-pro is a false comment how am i being a twat then ???
  6. bull sh1t qoute from my grandad (who worked as a metalurgist) "6000 (6061 and u6) series is aluminum alloyed mainly with magnesium, and tends to be a bit more ductile (for instance, it would be more apt to wilt or buckle than to snap, compared to 7000-series). 7000 (7005 alu) series aluminum is alloyed primarily with zinc. It tends to be harder and stronger but is heavier than the 6000 series." so please dont post crap
  7. my guess is that you've bought a park crank extractor (if not pplease tell me) it will have come with the isis head screwed in and a smaller head... you need to unscrew the isis head to do this push it in and turn it. now just put the square taper head in (screw it in) and take the crank off ... and your done :P hope that helps
  8. martyn ashton did a backflip to flat at last years bike show :P crazy mofo
  9. do you mean odyssey linear slicks ???
  10. Yeah get a t-pro they're better... not they snap on the head tube (90% or summit of the broken ones on here did) onza are a international bike company they wont know shit about making bikes.... also not true so what its a bit heavyier than a t-pro but t-pro's are light frames made from 6061 alu where as the t-mag (correct me if i'm wrong) is made from 7005alu which is heavier but alot stronger just think of it this way the t-mag comes disc equiped, it has a one peice cnc BB yoke (like a zoo! or a zona) with a very nice spec so its not shit hope that helps :P
  11. "Make sure you've got the speed dial adjustment as far away from the bar as possible, and do as much setting up on the caliper itself, instead of the lever. Realign the caliper, as this can give a crap lever feel if its not straight. " done this all reday it helped but it still flex's way too much is an avid full metal jacket worth getting, the description states it can increase the power ??? :P
  12. legaly they cant take your bike unless its seen to be a danger to the public e.g. hopping into people not that i have ever needed to know that info
  13. right heres my dilema: i have an avid BB7 with speed dial 7 lever and the NEW xtr cables in have set it up in every different pad position under the sun but still it flex's way too much for my likeing so my question is what lever do you use and how much flex does it have ??? also if any one has any tips on solveing the flex problem then that would help loads thanks
  14. doesnt danny hlroyd work in one... i heard CLS does too
  15. where did you get your coust pads mark ??? i heard fatmike sells them but i wasnt sure
  16. mate if you wanna try it just do it !!! if you dont like it then sell/swap the rims for 26" ones .. sorted
  17. i heard intense make a 3.5 tyre for the M1
  18. shold be easy enough and should fit fine but if there an isue with the chain hitting the bash then buy a echo spacer (the one the replaces the bash on echo cranks) that would sort that  hope that helps
  19. if you put dot 4 or 5.1 oil in your maggura hit yourself... then get it re-bleed with mineral oil as maggura seals dissolve in dot oil :) it happened to a mate (don't know why he did it i warned him enough times) an he had to replace his rear brake :santa: joshywa :)
  20. i think Steve A did the same thing with a 26mhx while his leeson was being repaired :) but it think it would ride poo to be honest :)
  21. i find that if i start with room to do another hop before i reach the lip i can do a little hop before and as i land i can preload a bit more ... it also sets you up with a bit more speed before you leave the lip :) another think i do it tuck up in the air (works well with drop gaps) to do this just pull up in the air then as you feel your knees bend push them forward (CLS does them in most of his vids if you want to see how to do them) practicing is another good idea :santa: hope that helps :)
  22. i'll add you when i get home !!! to be honest if danny belives you then theres no reason to expain :) thanks for the comments so far everyone
