Are you hoping to use it for big drops and dh racing? If so it probably isn't a great frame for that, it only has 5"s of travel and is more of a trail/ light freeride frame. £500 could buy you a seriously good DH frame from one of the forums I posted before.

They are all good, obviously the eno is slightly better than the tensile but twice the price as well. I'd say go for the koxx one, lots of eps and not too expensive.

Mod rear hub is 110mm wide, stock is 135mm. It aint gonna work... Just get a singlespeed kit.

I'm not sure is deore disks would really be sufficent for a dh bike. Look on www.southerndownhill.com or www.descent-world.co.uk as they have good trading sections. You may be able to get something better than the mountain cycle for the money as well.

Neither are good trials brakes, you'd probably be better with a magura than either of them.

Kid; "Give me a trials park." Council; "Ok heres a pot of cash, some land and don't worry about the huge insurance costs, we'll pay that" Things arent that simple. Basically, there are no good official trials parks in the Uk. A few top riders have playgrounds in their gardens but that's about it. Think about it, how many kids do you know with jump bikes, bmxs and skateboards? Too many. How many trials riders? You can probably count the number on one hand... It simply isn't worth the huge expense 'n' shit for the council just to please a few people.
