The Echo brake is of similar value since you get loads of extras with it, but you'll be better off with a Magura. I've come across and sold lots of these brakes, and roughly 90% of them leaked. And the main problem is that once you get used to it, I find it's really difficult to go back to a Maggie.

That's quite interesting. I've got a similar problem now, with the first brake the fluid just came rushing out of a slave. Now it's mysteriously disappearing even when the bike isn't being ridden. I love the feel of this brake, it's just such a pain in the arse to use, reminds me of riding back in 2001 when one had to bleed brakes a few times a day on a long ride... edit: this might be of use to you guys, i've found a neat way of bleeding the dengura which takes no more than a minute to do. All you need is a syringe without the plunger and with the appropriate M5 fitting. Undo the bolt in the lever, screw the syringe in, pour some water inside and pump the lever a few times. Done, it's fully bled

Send it back to where you got it from and have it replaced. These brakes are a pile of shit unfortunately, I'm on my 2nd leaking set and both brakes I used started leaking a few minutes after the first ride. edit: Simpsonman: you mean the piston in the lever? Just put a Magura one in?

I'd really like to try all these pads one day, been running Cousts for ages now and I really can't imagine any pads being better. Really tempted to put a pair of CNC Reds on my bike now

Theoretically yes, practically probably not. A design like that will give enough stiffness for the difference not to be noticeable.

Well, if that's what you really want, why not buy a trials frame and put a sus fork in it? With such a low seat you won't be able to sit down anyway so there will be no difference if you have one or not. I'd advise something with a 73 head tube angle, maybe an Ashton if you can get it, a used Ozonys or something similar?

170mm if you're weak or still in the TGS era, 160mm if you've got an explosive style, that's the way I see it. Personally I far prefer 160's to 170's, currently running short cranks on my stock and they're so much better than long ones. There's more to the choice than how they interfere with your cornering abilities at high speeds

That's actually not true, I'm pretty sure most of them differ from each other.

Thought so as well. Must say I didn't like the idea of such a short frame, but after realizing it had a really steep head tube and 685mm reach, I'd love to have a go on one. There aren't really any substitutes for that frame in terms of geometry are there?

Cousts, given you run a grind but even on a smooth rim they work remarkably well.

Wow! In the words of Mr Clarkson: I want that in my life! Definitely one of the nicest frames I've seen. Koxx is really starting to make some fine bikes...

I'm sure Tart will address this question soon Anyway, I'd go for what's cheaper, Koxx forks aren't known for supreme durability, and as of today one doesn't really have to worry about the quality too much. They're probably made in the same factory, especially if the dropouts are identical meaning the quality should be fairly similar if not the same.

Wasn't there another vid from that ride featuring the Coust and Karbon guys? Got it somewhere on my pc, one of the best natty vids I've seen. Anyway, that spot looks like absolute heaven. I would happily ride there for the rest of my trials career. edit: haven't got it my "hunagry" folder has disappeared anyone know where I can download it from? It's a ~9 minute movie on that spot, with the two riders mentioned above. 2nd audio track is The Cure - A Forest and i think the file had KMT in it's name.
