Hawkstone Round Of World Motorbike Trials Championship
robster replied to kelly farm trials's topic in Trials Chat
When is it? and how much is it? and will we be able to have a go on the demo bit when it is finished? Is the current world champion going to be doing the demo as he only lives down the road. JP -
I totally agree Stan, if enough people voice there concearn then surely some one will listen. 2 great events on two different weekends is better than having to toss a coin to decide which on to ride.

BARRY. WHERE IS ROBBIES BIU LICENCE I AM SICK OF TRYING TO FIND OUT. GET THE THE JOB DONE.!!!!!!!!! WE APPLIED FOR IT AT HOOKWOODS WAY BACK WHENEVER IT WAS. AT LEAST HAVE THE BALLS TO PM ME OR SOMETHING. THANKYOU IN ADVANCE. AND SORRY FOR SHOUTING. JP

She has all but retired, due to uni and things last time I spoke to her. She will be missed.

Is there a good entry for this one as it has been moved down south, can everyone make it??
-
At last, biketrials comes home to roost. Well done all concearned and thanks. Top venue, shame it clashes with the British round, Lets just hope that the Rochdale event can be moved as I feel that many riders would like to return to Addingham. We will try and make it as good as the worlds in 05 for you all. JP

Gutted That we wern't there for this one, looked as though it was a good day. Robbie was well miffed that he couldn't ride and he wanted to come home early and miss my wedding !!!! (little git) I might even ride the next one if I can work the holiday belly off :$ Well done all. JP

Looks to me as though it is a conspiricy so the locals can actually win something On a serious note though do the powers that be in Japan or wherever actually know how bad things have got over here, it is a joke.

I don't think I will be back off my jollies. But if i am i will be riding for sure to be sure. Get well soon buddy you are a riding disaster area on wheels just like me. JP
-
James i am guessing that if you ring Barbara and speak nicely to her you will be ok, it is our policy to not turn people away, however we would like people to pre enter it makes it a lot easier. We won't be there as I have a very very important prior engagement on that Sunday. a little bit gutted but not to worry.

Yeh cheers Ian all my street cred gone for sure now. :$ Did you get any of me NOT falling off?????????? Top piccies buddy, see you when we get back from our holls. Those pics do kinda sum up the whole spirit of the weekend. Roll on 08 JP

Did the two day trial on my new bike. Must be a little easier on an old bloke because I am not as stiff as I nomally get after a trial. I am a little gutted because when it rained the mountain bike front tyre combo didn't really want to do any gripping for me, hence some very bloody shins and a dodgy elbow. Over the bars on many occasions. God damn I have scratched the fork and the head tube a bit. Bugger !!!!! Nowt that some touch up won't cure. The brakes worked well in the wet but the pads seemed to work out a little, I will put some thread lock on the calliper, get some lock on grips and she will be as good as new again. I will be doing many many more events on her as I have been well and truely bitten by the bug again. JP

Well folks what do you reckon. Just thought I would start this one off. Sat...... got there late trying to get gas for my cooker which never even got used.(sos Andy boyes) Took a good hour to put the bloody awening on my van thanks lttle Tom. Got our team sorted. Rob, tara, becky, Tom ?, me and a lad who's name I forgot. Set off to ride fun trial, Tara decided to let me ride on her behalf as she was a little scared, becky was a little bit out of her depth so I had to push her round each section, I told her the observer couldn't see me as I was invisible. We had a real laugh all day. Then Doug Lampkin turned up to hand out the awards, now that went down a real storm with the lttle uns. Then it was the food time, all ate very well indeed thanks to the scran van. Most of the lads did loads more riding then but I was far to knackered by then and I was on my 4th or 5th tinny. we sent all the little uns out to gather fire wood and what a job they did only thing was that some Monty rider went and put Robbies bike on the top. (pics to follow) then the rest of Sat seems to be a bit of a blurr :$ Sunday morning hit me like a brick, stiff legs arms and a real headache . Rob decided it would be fun for me to ride again, so i did. We had 70 or so riders on Sunday so the ques were the only trouble, oh yes and then the heavens opened and thats when it all went bad for me, I have left so much flesh and skin on the peddles and rocks it is unbelievable. Oh yeh I scratched my new bike as well, not at all happy Rob came second and I came second last :$ . Every body that went and helped out, a huge thanks from me and my familly, I am sure i speak for all of the Tyke trial comitee you all conducted yourselves in an exelent manner and left the place in a very good and tidy condition. Thanks again all. P.S I can hardly walk today and Rob wants me to go out and ride with him tonight.............NOT A CHANCE your stories would be nice to here post em up. JP

Both Rob and me were tought to set off with our bad foot forward, the reason for this is so that when your strong foot comes round you are already on your way. If you set off with your good foot it has reached the bottom of it's stroke before you are even away. It feels a little wierd at first but the extra power you get is amazing. A bit hard to explain but try it and you will see what I mean.

Rob Me and my mate Mark went out last night in the rain. I am getting used to the new bike now, she's a bute brakes work awesome in the rain as well. Rob had a big off and smacked his shins, so that put a close to the night. Quality a little flakey they were done on my phone and I was knckered.

It is not libor that is over acting. If i am correct, and I may well not be, he said to the bike trial people "sort it out" i think, and again I may be wrong that this committee have made the decision. I feel it is the wrong one, but I am a good friend of Wayne and I know what a complete "gob shite" he can be at times, but thats Waynio all over he speaks and then thinks, he is young, let it go we all say things that could be re-worded. Rob and I would not (and many others) be riding and learning so much if we hadn't have got mixed up with Wayne. I am 36 and just got back in at 10.00 been out all night on mi bike,He pushes and inspires people to improve, look at Chris Boyes. What a star he is turning out to be. It will be a shame if Wayne doesn't go to the worlds, because I guess the way he is training at the mo he would bring a few very needed points to the team. Anyhow we have not been sent Robbie's BIU yet and I have not upset anyone, maybe it's an oversight on Wayne's as well as Robs and they have been lost in the terrible post. I am sure the correct decision will be reached before too long, and all this playground banter can be put behind us and we can all enjoy riding again.............IF ONLY EH !!!! I don't even know why I posted this but I just don't get it anymore, I should keep out of all this. JP

Done that already. They run the Nationals i.e. Blackpool, Brimmham, Bracken, Addingham and various other well attended events. JP

Sos I will do it tonight if I'm not out playing on my new bike the reason for not putting you lot up was that you lot never seem to look happy , got to get some training in for the 2 day this weekend. Can't wait. We will have a full team of Peacocks on Sat. Tara team koxx wasp Robbie team koxx wasp Becky Boo taem pink bike Me team my new Megamo Watch out the rest of you teams we are gonna take the lot of out. We intend to play dirty and cheat as much as we can, Flat tyres, brake tampering, gear fiddling and much more.......... Team Peacocks for the win. JP

Thanks guys, I do have xp, but I don't' have a lot of time and that takes a while to do the old stretch and skew. Photobucket has been uploading 20 pictures now for the last half a hour and I can't be ass ed to wait for that cos I have to read Becky a bed time story. I have got 40 pics to shrink, they are averaging at 1 to 3 mega thingies if that helps. Have I got my camera set up wrong (Pentax Optio 60) Come on lads there must be a " easy way to shrink fast and bulk upload for retards programme " out there somewhere. Thanks again. JP
