  1. Yep me niether when are they coming ?? I recon the way forward is online entry, the same as the national championship saves paperwork and is easy. JP
  2. Who is doing the trial on Sunday at Cowling Pinnacle. We are going up on Sat at lunch time to mark out you are all welcome to come and have a bit of input and help out if you are free. We have not held a trial up there yet so it should be fun. They use it for moto trials a bit so we should find some good lines. I will be having a do on Sunday all being well so come and have a laugh, belive me it is not a pretty sight. See you all there on Sunday JP
  3. It all seems a bit cloak and dagger to me. We need to get sorted out with a place to doss down. Why has it not been made known where it is yet. ????
  4. Wow bringing trials into the new age at last. Just posted mine. I hope all trials will be this easy to enter in the future, if they are I reccon that we will see more entries. JP
  5. I am guessing that this is because there is so much to do for this one as it is gonna be a very high profile event.
  6. Do you need and licences to ride your events. I will try to come and have a go at a couple if we have a free weekend. Do you have a website to down load forms ect. Can you enter on the day? How many riders do you normally get ? Good luck with your championship. JP
  7. Only 5 count. I won't be going to it. I wouldn't miss the fun trial for all the Ambrosia in Devon. It is a shame but that is how it goes.... so many trials so little time..... JP
  8. Make sure you have your bars and levers set up correctly, you might be putting pressure on your wrists if you levers are to high or your bars are to far back. If all is well then get yourself a power ball and work on your wrist strenght here are the best ones http://www.powerballs.com/ Good luck JP
  9. Nice one Mick I like it, I like it a lot. lauhged so much I nearly bought a round of drinks, and I'm a yorkshire man. JP
  10. Bloody hell how big is this gonna be ?????? that has hopefully just taken British trials to a new level. I went to watch a display in blackpool before I even knew what trials was and the passing crouds were huge so lets hope this has the same affect. Roll on I need me some of those posters to put up at Robs school, work and all over the place. JP
  11. The guy who did the awards (sorry can't remember his name) :$ :$ said it would be some time this week maybe Tues or Wed but he was knakered so he wasn't to sure, Oh yes he also had the super bikes to watch if his son had set the video to tape it for him, you had to be there Mick. Remembered his name now it was Dave Bradley what a legend JP
  12. I have just been sorting the rest of this years busy schedule out for the family. It seems that somebody has had a horrible oversight and booked a British championship on the same day that 2 other clubs in the UK are running events. Scunthorp a new club (I may be wrong) has an event at Walcot Hillside. Tyketrial the most subscribed club in the UK ( I am pretty sure of this) is running it's 2 day fun trial with evening awards, (food and maybe a couple of Stella's.) For anybody who didn't come last year it was a real blast. It goes something like this.............. Sat, sort out teams with one rider from each class in it. We even got Babara on a Monty, we might even bully Brian her long suffering hubby onto a bike this year. Get your fancy dress on if you dared. Then go round with your team mates and ride the sections. It was a top idea that worked better than you could imagine. Then we had awards, food, trials bike football, got the little ones off to bed, got a little bit giddy on Stella, fell into the tents, get up and do it all again but for real this time. Anyway the point I am making is this, we can't re-arrange our event and that the British event will go ahead as planned, I only hope that Scunthorp still have enough entries to go ahead and not to many of there riders are going to the British round. I also would like to ask this question as it will directly affect my interest (Robbie) will all of the British championships count or can we drop one. I am guessing that if we can drop one round, then this will be the round that the majority of northern based riders will choose to miss out, 1 because of the travelling distance and 2 because it clashes with such a great family orientated weekend. I am not speaking for anybody here apart from myself, i guess i am just presuming that this is what could happen. Please advise on how many count Finally, from somebody who helps to run trials and sets them out on Sat then rides on Sunday I hope that Scunthorp and Tykes are not hit to hard by this date fopar. Thanks JP

    Venue Closure

I think this should have been left in Trials Chat as it seemed to be getting more traffic. Can it put into NMC so as to involve them as well. I am not sure how the forum works. But if it is at all possible it would be great. Thanks John. Here is the link to trials central. come on lads get it signed http://www.trialscentral.com/petition/index.php

    Venue Closure

Sad news, though it's good to see Tyketrial getting on the case so quickly.
  23. I have just had a chat with a good friend who is all about trials in the north. It looks like The Fothergills that own Addingham Moorside have had a demand to close the moorside indefinatly. If this happens it is gonna put more youngsters out on the streets riding over things that they shouldn't. I think that there is work being done to raise a petition to take to the powers that be. So no matter if you know about this place and have never been before, please keep your eyes open and give all the support that you can to help stop one man from having this place closed down for good. I for one would be gutted ifn this happens JP
