  1. I've got an '06 repsol replica (montesa 4rt). It soo nice, im loving the difference between it and my old bike (Cota 315R). Also got the orange rims on it like the world riders do
  2. I would be very interested to see the price that Tartybikes gets these for Seeing Echo is ridiculously cheap in china, i can't see these brakes being any different... Same goes for the freewheel..
  3. The header pipe can get really hot when your riding, so pants can help protect you from burns on your legs if you touch it or something goin up a step for example. All the the "skin tight" stuff is lightweight, and stretchy to allow the rider to move comfortably in it. But basically it comes down to FIM rules, you have to wear trousers. Well i dont know if its FIM, but in Australia, Motorcylcing Australia being the governing body makes that rules.

    Levers..

Now i realise this is probably a stupid topic, but i'll go ahead with it anyway... Here in Australia, bikes you buy at your LBS all come with the levers so that the back brake is on the left and front on the right, and i've noticed that in the UK its the same (?), but in the US and most European countries its opposite. Now on my trials bike i prefer to ride with the levers opposite to the way they come in shops, i.e the US way. I figure that i am right handed, so naturally that hand feels alot stronger to me, so having it controlling the back brake, makes me feel alot more confident in my riding knowing that my "strong hand" is stopping me. Now I read somewhere that a greater percentage of people are right handed than left handed, so it made me think, why do Australian and English right handed people ride with their left hand controlling the back break? Sorry if this is a pointless topic, but i'd still like to hear your thoughts

    Gravity

According to Newtons Law of Gravitation F=G (m1m2)/d^2, where G is the universal gravitational constant m1 and m2 are the masses of the two objects and d is the distance between the two object, the gravitational force is shared equally between the two bodies. So the earth has the exact same gravitational attraction to you, as you do to it. We know what gravity is, but the question of why particles attract one another is still not understood. For those of you who can be bothered to try and understand it, have a look at string theory becasue today it is regarded as the most promising theory for a unified description of the fundamental particles and forces in nature including gravity. This is just stuff we learnt in physics last year, and I understand that particles attract each other, but when it comes to anything else, i have no idea! Think of it this way, you're swinging a ball on a string around you in circles, it wants to fly off at a tangent, but the tension in the string keeps it going in the same radius around your body. Now replace you with sun, the ball with the earth, and the string with gravity and there you go. When a sateltie orbits the earth, it is constantly falling towards the earth. A satellite does fall towards the Earth; only it never falls into the Earth. This only works becasue the earth is round; that is the Earth curves. Roughly, the Earth curves about 5 meters downward for every 8kms along its horizon. So, if you looked out along the horizon for 8 kms, you would see that the Earth curves downwards below this straight-line path about 5m. In order for a satellite to successfully orbit the Earth, it must travel a horizontal distance of 8kms meters before falling 5m. So basically for something to orbit the earth it has to go at a certain speed to follow a circular orbit. If the speed is faster it will go in an eliptical orbit, or if it is faster still it will leave orbit altogether. You could apply this principle to the Earth or other planets orbiting around the sun Anyway, i think i've said enough
  6. That photo of the cop car is awsome in my opinion anyway. But yeh nice photos, however i can't see the point of having your disk there
  7. Who's Wally? Do you reckon he would send one to Australia? Are they relatively trustworthy etc?
  8. You don't know my sister And besides, she wouldn't let me ride it if i did, so i don't want to risk it
  9. Haha no, if she found out i posted a pic of her, she would murder me in my sleep
  10. She's been riding moto-trials with us for a while, and wanted to get into pushbike trials as well, so yeh this is her first bike. If she doesn't catch on, i'll just buy the bike off her cheers for all the comments, we spent some time debating over purple or black rims, but i think we made the right choice.
  11. Like 600 pounds i think (about 1500 aussie dollars)

    Gcse's

Can someone explain the English school system to me? Like when do you sit GCSE's and when do you sit A-Levels or whatever they are called? Sorry but i live in Australia and so i imagine our schooling system is probably a bit different.
  14. It would be really heavy, and the distance between the links would be probably to long to fit on a bike trial sprocket. And yeh as jake1516 said, i would imagine it would be way to wide to fit in with out like hitting your frame or like front bashguard or something.
  15. cheers for your help everyone i guess a mod can close this topic now
  16. Hi guys, i'm looking to buy the new 221pr soon and just wanted to know some things about it. 1. What's the freewheel on it like? Is it any good, or would it be worth upgrading it straight out of the box? 2. Are Marta's a decent brake, as in can it be trusted to hold on a big gap? Would it be better to look at hope disc brakes? 3. Finally, a pretty stupid question, but is the rear sprocket a 12t? Thanks
  17. No it's the Z1. Its a stock frame. The Zm2 is the white mod frame
  18. Ah crap my bad Mod can delete this thread if u want Cheers
  19. Check this out, for someone who rides moto-trials, this is awsome
  20. Some of the ones that TRA does looks about that
  21. Summer of course! There's nothing better than riding when it's between 35-42 degress. Some people think im crazy, but i love it! haha
