  1. The main advantages over magura's for me are; - Being able to ride in the wet (even better than in the dry) - Buckle in rear wheel won't affect brake performance - Easier to maintain - No annoying squeek thats all i can think of now, the only real disadvantage for me is pad contamination
  2. just to join the club, i know a girl called cecilia And i never met a larry
  3. zoo pythons come in a long and short version I guess that this will ride similiar(sp) to the monty you were talking about: - Monty 221PR I ride this myself and I'm really happy with it, definatly worth it Very cheap aswell so you could upgrade some other parts - Ciguena Looks very nice aswell, and a similiar geo to the monty As for long and short frames; Short frames are suited better for spinny moves, manuals and bunnyhops and are overall flickier Here is a rider riding a monty 221TI (same geo as monty 221PR) Long frames are suited better for moves like, front to backs and just overall rear wheel balance Here is a rider riding a long zoo python I've chosen 2 riders who both are quite tall, so you will see that it won't really affect your riding style hope I helped out a bit
  4. one, might feel strange at first but it really is alot better Just turn up the TPA on your magura a bit if it takes too much power with one finger
  5. ok i know whats causing the problem now, my hub cup is complety f**ked a whole layer has been ''grinded'' of by the wobeling of the wheel, I got a temporary(sp) solution now, but i will just have to get a new hub
  6. hey, thanks for the quick reply I managed to get the rear wheel tight now by holding bolt 2 in place with a spanner It will be a bit annoying to have to take a spanner with me every time for a ride, to tension my chain and stuff but at least it works now back to the other point: - when i give a reasonbly hard swing to my wheell it won't turn further that like 3/4 circle, will this have any affect when i ride, like power in pedal kicks or something or doesn't it really matters and should i just continue riding like this? any info on this? thanks in advance
  7. ok lil update now; I've locktite't my wheel and it's working great now, except for 2 things: - When i try to tighten my wheel at the rear end bolts (bolt 1), the bolt next to the tire (bolt 2) spins aswell, so my wheel won't tighten up at all and the axle just keeps spinning just to clear up what i mean: - when i give a reasonbly hard swing to my wheell it won't turn further that like 3/4 circle, will this have any affect when i ride, like power in pedal kicks or something or doesn't it really matters? Thanks for the help so far btw, it has helped me out alot
  8. woah that was just amazing, as usual really The first bit was very painfull to watch, when the bike fell down:P Some huge riding, i was really wondering how you threw the bike around during the vid But that was explained at the end of the vid Nice video, looking forward to your next one
  9. full louise? Who would want that But i guess you could put a hope or something on it yourself
  10. this topic doesn't seem so bad, there are way worse he's just asking opinions and i bet some people could use this to decide if they want to get foam grips or rubber grips I prefer rubber grips myself But foam seems to be better if you ride without gloves
  11. I had my worst bail today, did a little dropgap from a wall thingy to a bench, my brake didnt hold the impact, and I fell backwards with my back on the ledge of the bench It scared me quite a bit, but i haven't got any injury luckily It does hurt now, so i can't go out riding for a couple a days, but i consider myself lucky because the back is such a dangerous area to fall on
  12. whats so weird about that picture? it's just a sidehop from undeep/shallow (don't know the word) water
  13. already seen most of that, but it really is awesome It was just beautifull when he was teaching that little kid to ride at the skatepark I have alot of respect for that guy
  14. They are classed as emo, and i'm saying that because i hate emo's or something because bfmv used to be my favourite band Emo music doesn't neccesairily (sp) mean thats you are an emo if you listen to it
  15. very nice I normally don't like gap/sidehop/drop vids, but this one has something to it Maybe because you used soilwork:P And yea that sidehop looks huge, your gaps look amazing too, very nice tuckage on them I still have to learn to get some tuckage on them
  16. very nice video there The riding was awesome, great to see several riding styles in 1 video Music was perfect aswell Video had a really nice atmosphere, seemed like a great ride
  17. Birthday money: €250 Selling my gamecube+some games: €130 Had a job for 6 days, worked 10 hours a day €200 Sold my old monty: €400 The monty dealer sold me the monty for €250 cheaper so it was €850

    Work For Music

not sure whats the meaning of this topic, but the song is: In Flames - Take this life
  19. I was like you when i started trials, but you will find out about alot of problems which impopulairity has Ordering parts (ecspecially in the netherlands where i live) sucks bigtime, always have to wait at least a week, while people who skateboard or bmx can just go downtown and get a new part the next day There also is a lack of riding spots, trials riders often get blamed for breaking stuff, but we hardly have anywhere else to ride because trials isn't populair enough to build trialsparks for it. There are alot of other disadvantages on trials being impopulair, but i can't be bothered to list them now. And don't be afraid that chavs will start trials, trials requires alot of dedication and chavs simply don't have that
  20. I'm a total noob when it comes to hubs..and any other bike part really i'm looking for a solution to fix the problem with this hub atm I will look into a sealed hub when my current hub will break
  21. i had the cranks helicoiled and it's working out great so far I got a new problem how ever, my wheel keeps coming loose I've tightened the bolt next to the rear hub so it won't move from side to side, and still is able to roll smoothly. But after about half an hour of riding the wheel is loose again.. Does anyone have any idea how i can prevent it from coming loose so quickly?
  22. @people saying that theres a big difference between the xtp and the monty: Did they both have the same set up, stem rise, bar angle etc? that can make a big difference I think that a short xtp and a monty should feel quite similair with the same setup
  23. aha that explains a bit, still incredible though
  24. Can't believe so few people are talking about the bmx part That just blew me away, bmxes are so heavy and hard to keep on the rear Rest of the video was okay, not a big fan of video's with just huge stuff I liked his second video better, with the taps over the fence, and the 180, had some more technical stuff in it But I can imagine that people find this amazing Keep it up
  25. I agree on what endohopper sais, but for me it's also; how bigger the move, how bigger the smile mine is something like this: Sidehop: ------------------------ 6 euro pallets Bunnyhop:-----------------------6 euro pallets, but not very consistant pedal up: ------------------------5 euro pallets static (sidehop to rear?)------- 4 pallets Static gap: a bit more than 1 bikelength rolling gap: 1.5 bike length
