The only reason I use tar is because my rim doesn't hold grinds very well. It appears to me that the more competent riders use grinds and oppose of tar but the more " casual risers" seem to use tar. I'm sure when we get to eg CLS' riding level we will hate the stuff. Welll thats my guess anyway.
It was taken on a phone so thats why its so fuzzy. He didn't hit his head but he was down fo a couple of minutes. He cut his chin and scaped his knees, shoulder and elbow but hes Ok now
I'm not sure why but going at it at an angle (A) helps me get up higher things abit easier. Another tip I got from someone is to lower your front just before you hop. It doesn't feel natural to me but thats what tips I've been given
Me and a few friends fancy riding in Folkestone for the day but don't really know our way around. It'll be great if some of you who have been before or live there would show us all the good spots. PM me for more info.
The sheldon brown website rocks! I managed to built my first wheel in about 1hr 30 mins the other day even though the guide is for 3x and mine was 2x (with a couple of calls to the tart himself)
