Which bike/back wheel do you have?
  2. Seriously - try riding a metal skatepark in this weather, they're all dewy and wet and shit. Probably the same with your rotors if they get cold overnight, but once they've been used a bit they'll dry up and heat up.
  3. The Lite or Lynx frames are about £225, and they're amazing! If you can find the extra cash I'd definitely recommend them.
  4. Mineral oil shouldn't freeze, DOT fluid shouldn't freeze, and if you put some antifreeze in your water bleed it shouldn't freeze
  5. When you start doing biggers one to back wheel and properly hold it there, you'll find that 'cos of your body position your front pedal's going to need to be a bit higher than you'd think. With bunnyhops, you should find that progress comes relatively quickly at first just because it's more of a case of getting the technique right, then just putting more power in. It's sort of different to pedal-ups and stuff where your fundamental technique changes once you start doing higher stuff, you literally just go a bit quicker and boost the shit out of it to get higher with bunnyhops - what I'm saying is that you might find it easier to land it properly if you try aiming a little higher than you're comfortable with. If you just make sure you keep your front end high you can't really go too wrong.
  6. Preeeetty damn sure, same as how air gets trapped in high points on Magura hosing, the lever and in the cross over 'n' stuff.
  7. Air in oil should pretty much always rise no matter what the temperature is...

Cool, cheers dude! I'll have a squint around now...
  9. If it's squeaky/juddery, it's your pads/rotor that's the issue generally. Just rinse it with a lot of clean water, and scrub the brake. Give it a wipe down and repeat until the rotor appears to be clean and the brake isn't squealing. Could be worse in the morning if the rotor's a bit damp 'cos it's dewy?

Cool, maybe I'll stick with a TomTom then. Probably gonna go for this one: Link!
  11. May have just changed his e-mail address between posting and now?
  12. Ali, Gav and I bought some tickets last week, so I think we're probably going to be strapped to the ceiling or something. Pretty far back I think, but from memory of past ones it shouldn't be too bad in any case!
  13. Danny's not, but they usually have some sort of biketrials rider at the half-time interval so I'd imagine they'll just get a stand-in.

Cool, thanks! Saw this on Amazon for £notmuch, although it looks a little too rudimentary. I quite like how easy to use TomToms are, just in terms of finding stuff, so as long as Garmins have the same style of menus and navigation then that's a tempter. Not really fussed about the fancy pictures and graphics you get on the more modern TomToms, so if they're more basic in that sense then that's not a problem. EDIT: My Mum's got an older non-widescreen Tomtom and I'm used to the ratio/width of that so I don't know if I'd really need widescreen that much.
  15. Their normal price is like a quid more or something, should be under £7 max. For the record, I bought 2 long sleeve ones then just wear them under a T-shirt. Had a white one to wear under my football shirt and cut the sleeves off it to make it look right, and it still does a really good job.
  16. Yeah, I mean I wouldn't wear my white one on it's own 'cos they're relatively thin so it'd be gay as f**k. I usually wear S t-shirts, but I got them in M so they're reasonably long, but 'cos they're thin when you wear a smaller T over the top they're not too bulky. I usually only wear a base layer, T and a hoodie and that's all I need most of the time, and bearing in mind most of my riding goes down after 5, aka cold o'clock, that should give you an idea how warm they are! They're made of tiny little tubes so they're really good insulators. More thinner layers rather than fewer thicker layers is the way to do it.

    Satnav.

Holla. I wanna buy a satnav for my car having used various friends/family's satnavs before. Everyone I know uses TomToms, so I don't really know if there are better/cheaper alternatives around. Seem to be some deals around the place on Garmins/Navmans and stuff, so does anyone have any recommendations? It'll only be the basic model 'cos I don't really give much of a shit about having thousands of features or anything, my Mum's got the basic TomTom model and I've been borrowing that here and there and it serves my needs pretty well! Ali got the TomTom XL and that was pretty cool, but again there's a lot of stuff on there I don't think I really need, so I'd rather spend less and get something sufficient rather than excessive...
  18. Stock levels are live on the site now, so if you're going to call up you could always check to make sure what you want is in stock first. That way, if it's out of stock you get a bit more time to look at what else you might want, rather than having to rush it on the phone
  19. To be honest there's not much to tell - Dave doesn't make shit products, basically All the Trialtech stems are pretty awesome, mine was fine when I ran it. We've had no problems with people breaking them or anything like that, they're just good quality stems
  20. Sounds pretty interesting. Wouldn't take much to under-cut Monty/Koxx...
  21. www.uniqlo.co.uk - got a sale on their HeatTech stuff. They're thermal base layers that are super thin so they feel really lightweight, but keep you really warm. I wear one all the time and they rule! You really notice when you don't wear one, compared to being out with one on. Can't recommend them enough, and they're a fiver now. DO IT!
  22. Why not just tweak your current account (and turn off caps...)?
  23. That stem's 20mm shorter that the one you were going to get - it'd be worth bearing in mind as it's going to make your front end feel shorter/lower! If that's your bag though, then 'ave it. With the bars, the 20mm extra will change the feel, just 'cos where you hold it is going to end up being a bit higher than the Rockman bars. The Rockmans feel super good though, I was tempted to get some for my mod before I got bullied into buying some other bars. Stan's got them on his 24 and they feel good, and we've built a few bikes with the Rockmans on. If I was still running my Trialtechs on my mod I'd probably trim them down a bit 'cos they feel a little too wide for my liking, so I guess they'd equate to what the Rockman bars are like anyway.
  24. Because if they 'just put a disc mount on' it'd probably be shit. Making a disc mount that actually lasts and isn't super flexy doesn't just happen, especially with the rear ends the Onzas have. Like they said before, almost all their team run rear Magura and only want to run a rear Magura, so they don't really 'need' to put one on. Not least 'cos they'd have no-one to test it. Most of their bikes seem to be bought by street riders anyway, most of whom don't appear to want to run disc. I'd imagine your percentage is fairly out for the amount of dual disc riders out there. And I agree with what Ali said earlier!
