Told you (years ago )!

Quite impressive how you're able to judge this person's character from a thread on a forum. Quite impressive indeed... Simps - regarding it being someone else's money, I still don't really get why it's a problem. If he wants a really good bike (which the Koxx range generally are, even if they're not necessarily the longest lasting), and his parents are happy enough to help him out and support him, I just don't really see the issue there. You could argue that there's a cheaper alternative for everything, but that doesn't mean you have to take it, especially if the person financing it doesn't really want to as such.

I'm sure it'll be fine, but the Rockman disc mounts look a bit weaker than I'd like. The Koxx ones seem a bit more reinforced, whereas the Rockman ones are just a bit minimalist, really. Those Hydroxx's's's's''s's do ride really nicely too, so ride-wise they're probably a good choice. Unless you're a comp rider I'd steer clear of the Silver Sky though, it's probably just a bit too much of a gamble in terms of strength. At least with the Hydroxx you know you're getting a slightly stronger frame that should stand you in good stead. Regarding the justification of frames/bikes like that, why not? Some people really like bikes, so if they want to spend money and tinker with their bikes/tweak them/try out new stuff, why not? Same as people who are into cars buying different cars, modding them, tweaking them, and so on. It's a pretty normal thing to do, so why not? Even if it's "Daddy's money" to quote someone up there, what does that really matter?

You sure it's raised the BB by 10mm? They'd have to be some pretty long forks to do that...
-
Sure is, about 10mm longer than most mod frames. Those 'insane wheelbase length' Zoos were the same geo as this, just with different forks. People still bought them for the same reason they'll still buy this - the fact it's Craig's frame. I like long mods, but a 1050 mod with 375 Again, it'll sell whatever it's like as it's Craig's frame. He's looked up to, and people are going to want to run his setup. Onza can do pretty much anything they want with it... Or someone saying that every frame that ever comes out should have a disc mount because everyone runs dual disc

Got the right bike out at last Blatantly need to get the tyre tap to manual to 180 on that grind block setup. Do it, you won't regret it!
-
You're pretty much limited to second hand in that case.
-
I believe so, although I'm not 100% - it's only 5mm off so it should be alright I'd have thought. Ads is/was running one on some of his many recent mod frames with no drama. Can't remember what sorta mount some of them had, but like I said, pretty sure he was running it in place of a 160mm rotor. I was going to run one on my Zoo at one point, they've got really, really good hold 'cos of the design of the rotor. Not quite as bitey as my Mono Trial rotor, so I stuck with that just 'cos it felt closest to my old Magura.

This dude knows where it's at! We're pretty much all running the TR cams. I found with fully notched cams I needed an inbetween notch to get my wheel perfect, and you get that with the TRs. They're really, really nice to use. Feel like you're tensioning up a smooth cam, but they lock in really well. Can't recommend them highly enough!

Haha, nah, pre Tarty work. It's ended up with stickers on before, and Ali did hang it off a balcony once, but that was about the extent of it...
-
IIIIIII remember that bike! Looks sweet To be fair, gaining some spokey-dokies from leaving your bike at work isn't too bad, someone tried battering mine
-
You should be fine with a 160mm or so on the back - I'd have thought it would've been a bit tricky to batter it on a mod too much. If you're worried, could always get one of these beefy bastards:
-
If by one of 'them' you mean someone other than the f**king retarded wannabe-BNP members who take everything the Daily Mail says as gospel, then yes, I most definitely am. If by one of 'them' you also mean someone who thinks setting up Facebook groups about shit won't ever achieve anything at all, then yes, I'm also one of 'them' too...
-
From what I could understand, it was the civilians who've been f**king mullered by the US/UK in Iraq and Afghanistan that they were wanting to honour? Thousands and thousands of innocent people have been killed there by our various armed services, and I think it's them that that group were trying to remember. There've been 245 UK people who've died in the past 8 years there, and there's probably at the very least a hundred times that many innocent people who were caught up in the fighting (or died as a result of fighting taking place), yet when one person from 'here' dies it's big news for days. The Muslim dudes who are planning on protesting are essentially protesting for the end result of the reasons that the anti-war protesters were getting involved before the various wars kicked off.

I have absolutely no idea, sorry! To get a rough idea, just bosh the price of one of the top end 2-bolt boosters with the TNN clamps I guess...
-
You don't need to ask - they've been with us for a while, think they're just taking a while to get up on the site...
-
You'd have to be fairly naive to think that the army is solely going to be performing noble acts? Throughout the history of the army they've been doing things that were pretty shitty to quite a lot of people, and not really fighting for 'good'.
-
If you can't keep the front up, maybe try taking off a bit later? If you find the speed from it makes you drop the front, just pull up later so you're going more up than you are across.
-
Should probably point out I don't mean you've gotta crank like a b*****d at what you're going towards - I never really went super fast at anything I was bunnyhopping up, but I'd definitely go at a different speed below bar height than I would over it.
-
To be honest, the worst thing about that is how to organise some form of protest you have to be allowed to by the police. To me, that's a much bigger deal than having to listen to yet another family who appeared to think that by signing up to the army, their relative wasn't likely to be in danger... EDIT: As a quick question, as this is fundamentally an anti-war march, do you think the millions of people who protested against the war in Iraq were bad people as well? I'm going to go out on a limb and assume no-one started a Facebook group complaining about that.
-
That photo is actually bigger than what Benito's hopping onto.
-
Tell your mum I said she's talking shit.
-
Ah, yeah - 20" wheel on the back. Don't forget your brake mounts would be in the wrong place if you slip a 19" wheel in there!
-
'kin hell, what's next on Sky News? Michael Jackson dying?! Can't believe it's taken them 8 months to do anything on it...
