  1. Yes they do sit on the rear wheel like a pogo stick
  2. Mod? If so there's no question that double disc is the best set up, there's a reason most of the best mod riders in the world use them.
  3. The only 24 big betty I could find was from ison distribution and it was there last one in stock. A mate who runs a shop got it because I think you have to be in the trade to buy stock from them...to be honest I don't rate the tyre that highly, it is light yes but comes at a price like all light tyres, show it some off camber natural and it will just fold so I had to run mine super hard. Also I didn't think it was too grippy on anythin but dry concrete, maxxis are your best choice for 24.
  4. Yes ok you was right about the shadow chains being s**t and am not really into putting one half link on because if the chain does go it will most likely be on that link, plus my trust and confidence in them has just gone now completely. The dropout idea is probably worth looking at, dont know what the wheelbase would be like then but its worth a try.. Dont really want to run any kind of tensioner not even a spoke, thats the reason i buy frames with hor dropouts to get away from this. Cheers for the help. I tried the swampthing on my old marino and it wasnt very grippy not sure if it was 60a compound or not.. The only 'real' tyre thats worth running on a tgs sort of 24 is the high roller but then its quite heavy, i would sacrifice a bit of weight for a good tyre though
  5. Bit of a bump but i just need help with chain tension.. After snapping another halflink today a shadow one which are meant to be the strongest of the lot how can i get the right tension without using a death half link? I dont really want to run a normal chain with one half link either because they are death..
  6. Nothing 'lite' about it really then is there
  7. Exactly! Ask him if he wants to sell it, i have had 3 old skool montys now and i am gutted i got rid of them all..
  8. Just browsing through all the mallorca trials vids on vimeo ( which are brilliant by the way ) i came across this diamond. Reminds me off when i first watched ot pi dream donkeys ago and thought it would be good to show some of the young guns on here how trials started and how its evolved.. Enjoy
  9. Ahh who needs a bash anyway ay.. Been running my stock without one for atleast a year uci blud.. Mind you i have just bought a bashguard for my mod so i fail.
  10. Ideally you want the crank as far on as possible onto the bb as you want maximum strength, so if i were you i would just get a longer bb or like suggested many times take your bash or spacer off if you are running one
  11. Sick lad love the pedal grind... Sidehops are redonkulous.
  12. I thought it rode nice at first, took it to some proper natty where i live and just didn't feel right, very twitchy and no advantage over 20 /26..Think one of the main factors was the lack of decent tyres available, the schwalbes i was running seemed ok for street but as soon as you gave them something off camber with a bit of mud / sand they were TERRIBLE.
  13. Death chain!! Nice otherwise i just couldnt get on with mine, glad your enjoying it though
  14. Now thats what i call a PROPER trailer! Looking forward to the full vid, looks amazing!
  15. This wont solve the problem if i took 3-4mm off the sprocket on the back and stuck the 128bb in, yes my cranks would miss the maggy but the chain would either still be rubbing on the frame or the chain line would be like this /.
  16. I have sorted the problem like i have mentioned quite a few times, i am running a hope on the rear ( solves the cranks hitting the brake issue ) and also am running the narrow bb which should just get away with it.. I basically just want to know now what other people are running and the onza lads to answer why and what they designed the frame to run because it seems lots of people are having clearance issues with these frames.
  17. I have tried that way but the chain line is like a banana so its not possible...
  18. I am running the MONTY rim at the moment! Thanks for some input mike but clearly there is a flaw with the frames not just the cranks . ( even though am running both so ive got twice the problem i would have) Like i said i am running a 42mm monty rim at the moment with a 118 bb okay i might have a wide chain like a shadow and also no spacer between the freewheel and crank arm, but still the chain is sooo close to the top stay.. I would love to know how the new limey frame compares on these clearance issues.. with pics if anyone has any.. See in the last pic i posted why couldn't you have just made the frame with more clearance here? Would of saved a lot of people un due hassle and you probably would of sold more frames because of it.. Also these frames are designed to take a 128 bb are they not? I would love to see one of these with a wide bb in, there is no chance of running one.
  19. Really how come a few people in the pics are just wearing shorts, including phatmike? Didnt realise that was a rule to have legs covered up and if true shows how stupid some aspects of the sport are.
  20. Oh i hear you mate trials needs to move on in the style stakes but your contradicting yourself there by having tights on underneath Also fox do loadsss of diff styles as you will know it just so happens that the one you have got on doesnt look good but each to their own as they say. Infact just looking at the pics again the style of it isn't bad, i think its just the under tights that make it look bad.
  21. So it seems quite a lot of people are having 'issues' with onza frames.. not good.
  22. (JT in the angry thread posted : All mods are designed to take a 128mm BB, you might want to post up a picture in a separate thread in trials chat and people can be able to tell you what's wrong. But you shouldn't need to buy new cranks. ) So the onza was designed around a 122 bb? would be good to hear someone from onza explain this to us seeing as though they have made a lot of money around some badly thought out frames.
  23. Even smaller bb! is that even possible lol think the crank arms would be touching the frame then on the bb area! All i can say is shame on you onza the designers must of 'designed' these frames on a fri night on there way out the building.
  24. Some very good pics there.. some good ones off me ald mate andy ford on the kamel, wonder how he got on? And DB that fox kit is horrendous come on lad its no moto x track..
