Hi guys, im just after a bit of advice, i went to buy a helmet today but cant seem to find one i like, i'm after a bowl/skater type helmet.. (i dont know what the trendy kids call them, lids or something) anyway.. ive got quite a small head so when i put on helmets they look like a giant mushroom thing that sticks out from my head. Have any of you guys found any that have thiner foam/inner, or that fit tighter to your head. i was thinking of spending about 50 quid, if i can get one i like. I tried on a small tsg, its the best ive found so far, but still looks a little large compared to the size of my head, any info would be kool cheers

(Well I do have a dissertation to work on as well as about 4 essays) When i rubbed down my zero and resprayed that it took ages, literally a week of me working on it everyday after work, i think some paints strip off easier than others (using nitromors). I stripped some forks (p2s) and the paint literally just fell straight off, but with the my zero it took quite a few coats of paint stripper, and then alot of sanding to actualluy get all traces of paint off (especially around the welds). I think it would take slightly more than just an afternoons work,,

cheers for that, but i've looked into argos cycles before and thought it was quite expensive, £90 to respray/renovate a frame. The frame only cost 200 (yes.. another zenith) so thats pretty much half the cost of the bike..

hey guys, just a quickish question. Im looking to send my frame off for a respray soon and am just wondering where people have sent there's before, what the service and outcome was like etc.. (also price..!) What im after is getting the frame rubbed down to a polish finish, and then coated in a laqure. So basically turning my black frame into polished silver, I know its easy to do yourself, ive done it before on another bike, but i would prefer a professional finish, and cant really afford the time to do it. Ive done a bit of searching on the forum, and there's little info i could find on frame stripping, and there's alot of "my mate got it done for 25 quid, full respray, but cant remember where" Im looking to spend about 50 quid, so any info would help, cheers Mart

nice vid ash.. nice relaxed song, but think the editing cud be a bit faster to keep the movie going, some good riding, especially like the 360 endo and switching over rails.. (i agree with others to cut out titles and bails), but its pretty good, nice one

Just phone up supercycles and say that you have seen it on ebay for 200 quid, and can you buy it direct over the phone for that price.. Thats what i did, (came next day delivery as well,)

cheers for the feedback guys, Just an update on the situation- i still havnt gotten a refund, i spoke to dan ko last tuesday, said i wasnt happy asked for a refund, he said fine and said he would send a cheque.. Its now monday nearly a week has passed, and still no refund, and now i cant seem to get hold him.. his phone just rings out and his doesent return phone calls or txts. This is the kind of thing i was talking about with bad customer service! how long does it take to send a cheque! in my eyes his reputation has gone right down, he has continually let himself and his customer(s) down.. others be warned, Thanks for listening..

thats the thing though, as i dont know if he could even get the frame in the begining.. select bikes said clearly, we have no idea when they will come in, we just have to wait and see. (these are the offical importers) - dan will probly get some in around the same time as select bikes...

cheers for the reply guys.. its just an annoying situation, im sure it wasnt dan's fault, but i dont think he should have promised me a frame he couldnt deliver, As for the refund that i asked for on tuesday it still hasnt arrived??, so it would be nice if you could just let me know the situation of if it has been sent (that was also another problem with dealing with dan, as he didnt seem to relpy to phone calls or emails) in response to the free forks, thats very kind of you.. they will come in usefull when my frame finally arives, cheers

i understand there can be problems getting frames, i'm not knocking him for that. I know they come from china, so it would take a while to get some, altho i gave him the go ahead back in august, so i would have thought if he could get some, then he would have by now. Think ill go with a different company in the future.. Any other people had problems?

Hi guys, just thought i would share my situation with you- it may help, some people might have had similar problems, or you might disagree, either way let me know what you think. Quite a while ago, August 15th, i set up this post to ask where the best place to get an Aorta 26" frame was.. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....c=81902&hl= Anyways, i spoke to select bikes they said they couldnt see them getting them anytime in the future, they said there was no real way of knowing when they would come in. I said fair enough so went elsewhere. I tried Dan Ko, he came recomended (with some different opinions though) he seemed very helpfull, he said if i orderd through him i could have the frame deliver on the 8th of september. I said great! and was pleased becasue he said there would be no problems and the frame would be deliverd (as i said he seemed really helpfull in the begining) Its now october 5th, and he still has no idea what the situation is or when or if the frame will be deliverd. Im annoyed, each week when i spoke to him he assured me it would be with me by the end of next week. He then becomes unrealiable to get hold of, tells me he has emailed me information from aorta (which he hasnt) and can never give me any solid information what the actual situation is. I actually feel a bit stupid for beliving him in the begining, when he said he could get the frame. I'm not angry because he couldnt get the frame, im annoyed the way he dealt with the situation. I understand when dealing with companies and factories it cant be easy, but he blatantly lied in the begining when he said he could get hold of the frame. I would have appreciated some honesty, (like select bikes) having said "we dont know when it will come in," instead of taking my money on the 3rd of september and im still waiting a month later with no bike..! also he seems very unprofessional, as when i dealt with him we aggreed a price with some other bits, when i had been billed i found out he had charged me more than we agreed!! (and later said he would send cash with the frame when he sent it to me) (bit unprofessional) Also when i spoke to him he said he was the official UK importer for Aorta - i later found out this was not true! i have asked for a refund now, as have had enough. I doubt that from the begining when he took my money he had no idea if aorta could even send frames out.. (if i had known that for 6 weeks i would have no bike, i would have set up a cheap tempory frame to ride when i got to uni) I do feel a bit silly for beliving him - each week he would tell me he had spoken to aorta and it was on the way, but he could never provide any sort of confirmation or even a tracking code! I wont deal with Dan KO again and put this post out as a bit of a warning.. i dont know if any people have had problems with him before but to me he seems unreliable, and a bit of a liar! it is very unprofessional to take customers money when having no idea when, or even if! you can get in a product. join the mountain bike club, we have alot of trials rider, organise rides - cheaper race entry for events/ trials comps... etc, find us at the fresher fair.. Cheers

yeah, i thought i may have over edited a little - i did a first copy which was more straight clips which probly would have come over a little better.. cheers for the info. This is the first time ive added fast-motion in the editing of my vids, so wasnt sure myself about that part. I thought i may have overdone the slow mo stuff which people might have picked up on, but seems not.. (p.s. dont run cheap hubs, otherwise u'll get gear slips like the faceplant at the end) Thanks

I think the Aorta 26" frame is really nice.. its not as common as echo or zoo, and stands out. Its got a nice hoping position - altho i only had a short ride on one. But doesn't seem to have too high a bb height so rides really nice (in my opinion, though i've never owned one so you will probly disagree with me on that)

really like the colour scheme.. bit unusual but works really well. What wheelbase length does it come to? i bet it rides really nice on the back wheel with the longer stem- (seems like it will have a nice hopping position)

id have to say the t-rex as well.. good for gaps,

hi.. In my opinion a rear freewhell setup is the better option. single speed usually saves weight and is a hassle free alternative. I currently run a 521 on revolver hub, my freewheel is only and asc claw, but i could easily upgade to an eno hub with the same pickup system/number as a chris king. The advantage to doing this that it will save you a whole load of money as kings are far more costly than white industries, (or even the new tensile freewheel soon to come out..) The downside to freewheel setup is that gears can be usefull, ive found as you progress a larger range of gears can be helpful, as your style changes and you learn different moves. let me know more about what you think on this.
