  2. well lilttle update... bought some brand new avid sd5 callipers over day for chaep, and wow break is awesome, so loud now, and hold and bite is easily if not better than a magura, thing i found with a magura is that beacause the pads "clip" in the pad rolls slightly which means when land on the edge of something the pad will roll leading the brake to slip, as vees are fixed pads=no pad roll which imo makes the break hole hell of a lot bettter, so im sooooo happy with my vee now, also alot stiffer i find than my maggie even witout a booster on the vee, and cause of the oddsey cable no cable flex either, workin top notch cant really see myself changing back to a magura now!! cheers
  3. have now got new levers, cables, pads, adapters and front tyre on there now, what you all think? thanks
  4. got my sink adapters and pads today and my brake is wickid, easilly as good as a magura on hold just doesnt have the same bite, and i have a few flat spots in my rim wo brake gets spongey in some points of the rim. next day delivary which was owseomly quick, and all the stuff seems to be made to such a high quality, pads are wickid, sooo stiff. just nice to have a break that doesnt roll!!!!! anyway heres some piccys, cheers
  5. brake pads are a massive bodge, bassicly a maggie pad with bolt ramed throught then pad stuck ontop. what set up are you running just outa intrest ^^^^?
  6. ok well got a rear vee pretty much free today so wacked one on n at the mo obviously not brilliant alot of sponge but im putting that down to the clarks cable, tomorro will be buying a odssey jobbie and the spongey pads tomorro wil be gettin some of those refillable clarks ones. so heres a few pics, soon to be oredered. sink vee pads and sink adapters. anyone know if the clarks pads (reffilable oens) are any good, they gunna see me throught till i get my sinks?s? cheers.
  7. much flex in the frame when running a v brake? will i need to be running a booster ontop even with my control frame? whats the odesey cables like? will be good for rear? im givin a go at making my own adapters so see how they, purelly for the fact just want to see if its gunna be woth buying some sink adapters if they work ok. cheers
  8. well im fed up with my magura always leaking and neading new things for it so im thinkng of making the moce to a rear v brake. just wondering if i can have a few peoples oppinions. my current set up is: rb lever, coust/sink pad/normal tubing braided cross over and and normall slaves etc. now this is a good braek but is always going wrong so looking to go to a vee. will be keeping the coust material to wack into some sink vee backings but what else will be need. dont want to spend a fortune, was thinking something along the lines of avid lever and avid callipers of some sort and like just clarks cable. now i have a control 05 at the mo so would be needing some vee adapters. whats good thats out there? so if someone could recomend me a cheapish but good set up that be great. and whats the most important part of a vee? and can they be as good as a magura? cheers.
  9. couple of peeps came taunton last friday, didnt get many snaps but heres a few.
  10. its a sony old one, had the model writeendown. standard cd/mp3 and radio player. came in a w reg vw sharan.
  11. right ok on my head unti i have 3 pairs of rca's amp/input, rear output, front out put. bssicly when plugged into the input nothin happens, but when plugged into outputs, especially the front one seems to work well. it will only work on the output when or on a "non exsistant" radio station otherwise you will just hear your music playing in the background. so is it safe to have it plugged into an output? or is it gunna blow anythin? cheers
  12. i have the ones for rca to plug into. i tried input for an amp/etc. but no luck but woutputs seems to work but only if you cna picl up a really bad radio reception with no interfirance . where else can i plug it into or is there nowhere else?
  13. ok well today bought a 3.5mm jack so that i can listen to mp3 player off the head unit. it is supposed to plug into the rca inputs. well got home and did this but my head unit doesnt seem to have a aux or anythin to play the mp3 off. so there is another 2 pairs of "rca"'s named output left and output right. wacked it into these and wokred but really crappy n only worked on n on exsitant radio stations, sound quality was poor, so any ideas how can make it work. or is there no chance at all? cheers

  18. when i got my fugi had exacly the same problem, what sorta iso n f no you using? maybe worht thrying a lower iso and a higher f no like 7 and sort of find the mid way light point that you want your pic to look like, i found it was all with playing with the light metere as mine doesnt seam "accurate" sometimes try over or under exposing main thing i find is to just play arou8nd with it.
  19. ok at the momment have a magura 04 with water bleed on a echo control no booster on a koxx try all rim., at the momment using coust pads on a dead grind, but always re grind when i get new pads so they can bed into together. mainly ride street but am riding expert round in the southwest comps so would be able to see how they hold up in dusty/wet conditions. cheers
  20. had a sun doublewide and a dx32 and i just prefer the koxx at the momment break wporks on it, hasnt dented, hasnt flatspotted. are the viz/hog and koxx rims all guna have same erd? cheers
  21. ok well time for a new rim, ive been using a try all for a while now and not had much of a problem at all. no i noticed on the tarty website that they dont do hog rims in 32h with eyletts i know can buy them other places, but which rim should i go for, are onza and the viz pretty much same rim? what are everyones veiws on echo rims they weaker than the onza/koxx/viz rims? cheers
  22. all those sound good, was looking at the sony but couple of my frineds have them and find the lil joystick thingy dies after a while,. really would like a flip phone, with the w810i does it come with headphones? and what about the e770. cheers
  23. ok well moving to contract so looking at what phone to get. apart from bein able to answer and make calls would also like it to have mp3 player preffably with headphones, bluetooth, fairly decent camera and like a usb 2 port so easy file transfer from computer etc, only phone ive been looking at really is the samsung e770, any good? what else is there worth looking at, would prefer a flip phone as lss licky to ring people in my pocket and get smashed, and also would be nice to have a battery that last a while insted of the whole 1 day mine last at the mo so any suggestions greatly appreciated cheers.
