  1. it was a bit of a joke mate, nothing too serious i just dont particularly like low range onzas as i put a crack in mine, around the bashguard welds
  2. is it me or do no new members read the guidelines. i know i cant talk because im not a full member, but i have never broken any rules or done anything wrong
  3. any reason why you wrote that twice? looking forward to seeing your new video mate, and glad to hear its on a propper camera
  4. pros: has 100% cable brakes rather that hydrollic. Means nothing- i prefur cable brakes as set up correctly i believe, along with many other riders that they can have better bite and hold than maggies etc has a front disk as standard on a bike that cheap Again, it means nothing - its probably shit anyway- set up correctly, the brake isnt to bad to have standard on a bike of that pricegood starter bike Opinion, not fact- maybe, but a hell of alot of trials riders believe that low range onza's are great starter bikes has bottom bash plate, saving your frame and enabling you to land on it when getting up walls There are much betetr bieks out there that also have bashplates- correct your spelling, and im not talking about better bikes, im talking about the t-bird cons: its onza And?- they can be quite weak and the low range ones dont have very good geo etc the rear brake needs pads and rims grind EVERY new bike needs a good set of pads and a grind - whether its £150 or £1,500- not true because alot of good spec bikes come with better pads feels really heavy (well my mates does) Can't fault that they ride pretty poo, as the front end is heavy and the gearing is horrible - Most sensible thing he's said all day not great spec He speaks the truth
  5. haha i have tried it quite a few times, feels just like starting trials all over again i think i will stick with left for forward
  6. much beter this time mate. looks liek your having alot of fun and pulling off some good stuff. keep up the good work
  7. i rekon buy a the tool or take it to your local bike shop, they should do it for nothing. i would say the hammer and screwwie bodge, but you dont want to damage your cranks, best to do it the safe way and get your local bike shop to do it
  8. pros: has 100% cable brakes rather that hydrollic. has a front disk as standard on a bike that cheap good starter bike has bottom bash plate, saving your frame and enabling you to land on it when getting up walls cons: its onza the rear brake needs pads and rims grind feels really heavy (well my mates does) they ride pretty poo, as the front end is heavy and the gearing is horrible not great spec but if you are starting out it should be ok matey i know someone who has one of those and it seems ok, needs a few thing doing, but overall is good for the money. hope i helped
  9. nice video mate. would be good to see another video with better quality(not phone quality). but the riding and the rest of the video was pretty awsome. how long have you been riding matey?
  10. you can only really run a mech like that if you are running single speed, as the mech will use all positions when you have gears. but as said above the mech will be in that position if you have a shorter chain. hope i helped
  11. i ride in some fox shoes i got cheap in america. i think they worked out at about £20, which is good considering they are about £45 over here. and they seem pretty awsome, good grip etc, i would deffinately reccommend them
  12. i started out on an onza t-vee. but mine was pretty awsome for a t-vee but i rekon if you keep your eyes out on ebay you could pick up something a bit better in your price range, something like an onza t-mag etc. hope i helped
  13. thats what i thought. was the music surposed to be funny ok riding though, you've got a streety sort of style. i would say get a new song on it, and make it a little longer and it could be a good video
  14. cheers mate, but you know i made this topic when i was unsure abotu what frame to get. i ended up getting my monty about a month or so ago
  15. there has been loads of topics like this in the past, could have used the search tool mate but the grips i love are halfords foamies. you can get i think its 4 sets for £5
  16. im with him been posted a load of times, but never gets boring
  17. my lid gave me a big confidence boost! but i still dont feel confident doing big drops, as i know my monty frame is like toffie but i do think the best way to boost your confidence is to just try bigger things and learn from your mistakes.
  18. from birmingham, well solihull if you want to be specific. and ride a monty 221pr, i would like to think the spec is ok
  19. gapping to front wheel. i find it a real unnatural feeling to pull up and land on the front keep practicing is probably the best thing for me
  20. o yeah, forgot to say, my mates has got an 07 pro 2 trials, that seems to be pretty mint!!
  21. one of my mates rides a zoot. i didnt particularly like it standard, but with a few hundred quid spent on it, its a mint streety trials rig now. i rekon the best mods for it are new bars and stem, and a pair of 26" echo control's with a front bb7!
  22. took the words out of my mouth but i surpose there is no problem bringing up an old topic, better than posting a new one exatly the same. good to see someone used the search
  23. you dont like it??? each to their own i surpose, but i think its fitt
  24. haha im with him i have not a clue how it rides, but i havent herd a bad word about it yet, so cant be too bad
  25. go for a monty 221pr. i did, and never looked back also you cant beat the short and flicky geo of the monty. and you see small and tall people on them, so no worries about height. also they are relitively cheap compared to deng bikes/frames. but i do think choosing between mod and stock is totally down to personal preferance, as no one can say what bike you are going to feel comfortable on. hope i helped
