  4. Thanks alot for all your helps guys, really appreciated. I think i have sorted the brake out as it seemed fine on the ride i just got back from. I am still considering the bb7 though i just want a little bit more bit than my mono trials Also the tarty brake is quite pricey, and it wont feel any different to my mono trials at the moment will it? i thought the only upgrades were the snazzy colour, carbon leaver blade and the pimpish bolts?? correct me if im wrong there. Thanks again for all your help guys
  5. Im with him, because if you dont want to use disk you dont have to. If you already have a mag though, i would keep it, as long as you have a gring and some half decent pads rim brakes rule Owen

  9. Hi there, recently i brought a rear hope mono trial for the rear of my monty, and i really havent got along with it! I have about eight spacers on the frame mounts to get the caliper in the right position and its still slightly out. Oh yeah and the most recent problem i have had with it is rotor warp, everytime i do a tap the rotor warps so bad i can bairly spin the wheel round. So after these and many more problems i think it is time to get rid of the brake and was wandering if an avid bb7 has enough power and hold to go on the rear? If anyone has used one or has one on thier bike i would like to hear how they have got along with it as i know they are really easy to set up. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks, Owen

  11. i ride an 07 221pr, and run double disks. got a hope mono trials on the rear, and its pretty awsome, great hold and bite, i would deffinately reccomend them. Also i would say not to go juicy carbon because they arent a trials specific brake, i rekon they are good brakes, but dont have enough hold on them, they bite ok but i would deffinately reccomend mono trials. and the hopes are cheaper arent they?? hope i helped

  13. that looks awsome mate, well a hell of alot better than standard. i would get some echo lites on there though, as i hate the standard onza forks but im sure you should have posted it in the bike pics thread, it will just get closed now how long did it take to get it looking like that mate?
  14. yes mate you will need to change the rear wheel, tyre, and i think those saracens have vees, so youl either need a magura or dengura or the adaptors to change magura mounts to vees. and i doubt very much you will eb able to get all of that lot for £150, and thats before you have even thought about the frame. i would just do what other people above have said ad upgrade parts on your existing bike rather than getting a new frame, especially if you like how it rides at the moment. also if i does snap or crack you might be able to get a new one off waranty, depending on how long you have had the bike and how long the warranty is. hope i helped

  16. he got spanked by the sound of it. i got my old frame forks and stem done for £25. they did an awsome job for me aswell, masked all the threads off to make sure i could get my bb back in etc. i rekon like said above, ring around a few of the local places that do it and get some quotes. good luck and hope i helped
  17. it says on his info that he rides mod. not sure if that is right or not i run 18:12 at the moment, but my mates say its too high for my monty but im unsure. i think 18:12 is pretty good to be honest mate, but gearing is personal preferance, some like it high, some like it low
