It's out early September mate

This weekend I was back at my parents house for my Sisters birthday bbq party. It mainly consisted of preparing for Blyton park next week. On saturday morning I had my alignment. They knew all about the crash and spotted this on the rear carrier to the beam. If you look closely at the right of the bracket you can see how it's shiny and clean as it's slide during the impact. We loosened the carrier bolts and slid it back into place 20160625_131128 by dann2707, on Flickr Random pic of the car coming out. 20160625_142825 by dann2707, on Flickr Then today I have removed the front pads and ground the tabs down a bit as they were absolutely stud solid in the carriers before. Now they move freely which is good. Also i've raised my seat and moved it forward by using some aluminium plate. It feels so much better to drive now as i'm not reaching UP for the steering wheel. My head is also level and im not tilting my head back to see over the dash lol. This is all because I removed my runners and they are around 30mm in itself. Then took some random pics on the way home. I realllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly need to clean it on the inside and out before Blyton. 20160626_204534 by dann2707, on Flickr 20160626_204950 by dann2707, on Flickr 20160626_204956 by dann2707, on Flickr 20160626_205023 by dann2707, on Flickr

I think so, will ring them tomorrow! Exactly that, the power cable for the splitter has a multi voltage toggle switch. It was on a different voltage as I was using it to charge my torch the other day, plugged it in not even realising i'd changed it.

Yup. Best car I've owned. Been so reliable over two years. Puts a smile on my face everytime I drive it even after those years. Absolutely no signs of me selling either and that's unusual for me. @Haz has one too.

Won't do anything at all apart from a quick beep at me. Thanks dude

Hi,Not having the best of luck lately i'll tell you that.Just about to set off to sell my playstation 4 I decide to go on it to delete my account. My HDMI splitter was selected on the wrong volt, either 9V or 12V when it should have been 5V.Now the PS4 won't turn on at all, the power button doesn't do anything only the eject button makes the blue light come on for a fraction of a second then it turns off again. What do I do? Leave it overnight? Or is it completely fried?I genuinely can't believe this is happening. Thanks for any helpful advice! Dan

Busy busy tonight and it's finally there. I wasn't fully happy with the angle of the stick and I could have lived with it but as you know it's me and it's gotta be right or I get annoyed. So I took it off and bent it some more. 20160620_201745 by dann2707, on Flickr This is it now in neutral 20160620_205436 by dann2707, on Flickr First 20160620_205442 by dann2707, on Flickr And fourth 20160620_205450 by dann2707, on Flickr I haven't been for a blast yet but after sitting in and changing gear it feels so much better. Can't wait to test it on track!

It just lifts up by 12mm. I bored out 12mm deep of the gearstick so that the outer shaft can slide inside it. Thanks dude! @Jolfa

So today has been productive as balls and i'm now finally sitting down and relaxing. I have: Finished my gearstick pretty much Removed stub axles from rear beam Removed the old bushes Fitted new powerflex black series bushes Wire brushed the beam Painted the rear beam Painted the stub axles So, the gearstick! I needed to lengthen the lift up reverse cable so I'm using an adapter that uses a grub screw to hold two cables in, like so! 20160617_164406 by dann2707, on Flickr Which feeds through the gearstick to the top: 20160617_164411 by dann2707, on Flickr Then I'm using a screw with a nut to clamp the cable, probably going to put some washers on that a later date as at the moment it's purely just the nut. Sturdy as though 20160617_165226 by dann2707, on Flickr I had a change in direction with the angled extension tube for the linkage side of things. Decided to just use a straight bar instead and bend the gearstick at the top end. 20160617_173849 by dann2707, on Flickr One extended linkage! 20160617_173940 by dann2707, on Flickr I then bent the rod a fair bit. You can see the difference here compared to the last pic 20160617_180227 by dann2707, on Flickr The cable was then trimmed down 20160617_181706 by dann2707, on Flickr And attached to my outer shaft giggity. 20160617_181709 by dann2707, on Flickr Rubber cowling attached 20160617_181835 by dann2707, on Flickr And finished. I'm just waiting on my shaft collar for the lift up reverse now. Then will spray it all black. 20160617_183212 by dann2707, on Flickr Really happy with it now, think it looks pretty good to say it costed around £15-£20 overall. Just time and thinking energy that took the most resource I guess. Here is the lift up reverse in action too. Video won't go smaller so ENJPOYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY Now on with the rear beam This is how I started 20160617_203236 by dann2707, on Flickr Got the old bushes out. I drilled holes in the rubber bush, smashed out the metal insert, then hack sawed a line down the outershell then hit that out with a hammer. 20160617_214339 by dann2707, on Flickr 20160617_215154 by dann2707, on Flickr The new outer shells went in ridiculously easy as I put them in the freezer for a few hours, simply slid in and required a little tap from the hammer 20160617_215920 by dann2707, on Flickr I then painted the rear beam and stub axles. Much better than what they were like before! 20160617_224517 by dann2707, on Flickr 20160617_224535 by dann2707, on Flickr

Got some new wheels that my Dad collected for me, such a bargain to say they include the centre caps however they're pretty manky. Can they be disassembled and cleaned does anyone know? Looks like the plastic that is faded. Team dynamic pro race 1.2's 2016-06-16_11-47-49 by dann2707, on Flickr And made a start on removing my megane shifter and modifying it for the new shaft and extension. Luckily everything came off easily thanks to me copper greasing the balls off everything when I refit stuff. 20160616_182856 by dann2707, on Flickr I then removed the internals 20160616_185815 by dann2707, on Flickr Please take a moment to admire my lift up reverse bodge bracket when I first fitted this as it snapped off haha 20160616_185827 by dann2707, on Flickr This is how i'm doing the lift up reverse now, using a 17mm bore bearing shaft collar, fitted an M6 grub screw long enough for two nuts, inbetween those two nuts is going to be my extended wire for the lift up reverse, joined by simply using a cable joiner. More pics of that tomorrow. Can also see my cut out for the pin on the silver shaft - not the neatest of jobs wish I had access to a milling machine. 20160616_220241 by dann2707, on Flickr This is how i've extended the shaft overall, grub screw in the middle and tapped rod. Might have made it a little too big but i'll test it first before I make it shorter. 2016-06-16_10-33-04 by dann2707, on Flickr And altogether, just need a few little things doing tomorrow as I need some side cutting pliers. 20160616_220326 by dann2707, on Flickr Pretty happy with it. Ordered another 17mm shaft collar for the lift up reverse bit for your fingers to grip. Will be spraying it black too.

Picking up a new rear beam tomorrow after mine definitely being bent to f**k. So gutted.

It's not exactly obvious to someone not in the know in the vag scene.

New gearstick build has started woo
-
I honestly have no idea what it is.

That could work! Don't suppose you know the average thickenss of the rope do you? This is 1mm and the diameter of the T piece is 3mm, 7mm in length but that could be cut down.

Does anyone know what these end terminals are called and where from for steel wire rope? Thanks! cb8abef6-fade-4321-8198-247ba82dddf7 by dann2707, on Flickr
