You'll need to buy a shock pump, or ask your local if you could borrow it quickly, depending on how heavy you are, you'll want it at around 150psi. And you can get to the valve on the right side of the fork, by unscrewing the cap ontop of the crown (right, if you're sitting on the bike)

Not sure which Epicons they are, but if I remember tomorrow i'll have a look at it? Or why don't you look on them? lol. And also, why do you need to know? What's wrong with them?

I was being a retard, in 2007 they only made one model of epicons in 08 they've made 6 my bikes the 07 so it'll have the old forks :)

nothing really wrong with them, I'm going to buy a shock pump as they are a bit soft I've been hucking it off some good 10-15ft drops and going up and down stairs quite alot too so it's no wonder really.

front wheel bearings are f**ked though so I might take it in and tell the guy that see if he'll sort me out with a new front wheel :P

banshees are ace though rides just aswell as my mates kona coiler but I can put my seat down further for about an inch extra clearance for downhill. I'll make some kind or freeride akkers style video soon

Hi Michael,

Tried to call at work, but have been told you are not in today.

We have considered you application for the Bikehut Squad carefully and are

pleased to be able to tell you that we would like you in our squad!

You will be one of two Trials riders in the squad, and hope you are still

up for the challenge!

We are currently finalising the details of the team, and will be in touch

in the very near future to finalise photoshoots for launch etc.

The launch will take place some time in March and further details will be

provided nearer the time.

In the meantime, if you could come back to me with the following

information, that would be great:

Full Name

Full Date Of Birth

Full Postal Address

Kit shirt size

Shorts size

Appreciate that you will have already provided some of this information,

but if you could confirm it all it will speed up the licence process etc.

Congratulations on your success!

Kind regards

Carla

Assistant PR Manager

Congratulations dude. I was on the squad for 2006 and they were really good to me. They didn't do it for 2007 so I was a bit annoyed when I saw the requests for applications, 2 weeks after I had resigned! Do you have any idea who the other guy is? If your as lucky as I was you will get a full bike and spares for the year. You will probably have to push them a lot for help and support though. They are busy with other projects and really didn't ask much of me. There were talks about doing demos which would have been awesome but it never happened.

Oh and if I remember correctly, Carla is a pretty cute blonde in mid twentys :P

Halford's is such a crap job! especially when you get boss' that take it all seriously...

Was a right good laugh when I first started, just so laid back, and we still got everything done on time. We won some money for selling the most accessories or something? And we were top in the area for ages! ^_^

Then the good boss' left, and we got new dickhead ones that thought we didn't know anything in bikehut. Then they were asking me 'technical' questions about bikes thinking I wouldn't know, like 'So how do you set these disc brakes up?' and 'how would you service a bottom bracket?' So to take the piss and gave long, detailed answers. His face was brilliant. :)

Then they decided to employ a load of part-timers, and we thought they'd get people that knew their stuff to help us out (we were getting way under-staffed!) but no, they employed loadsa noobs that knew nothing at all. One girl in Bikehut said 'I can't even tell the difference between the front and back wheels'

So yeah, for some fun we went out the back and rang the store number, and one of the new people answered so we asked them to see if they had loads of stuff in stock (That doesn't exist) and what the best bike is, and for her to explain it to us.

"Errr...well, it's a blue one, it has suspension I think and a comfy seat...errr...errr...it has good tyres and wheels and stuff"

Our halfords is just crap. We have 6 part time stuff on bikehut and 1 full time, i want to say to our store manager to get more full time and less part time but i dont wanna be fired :P plus all my mates work on bikehut with me so its a blast. We soon to lose our full time staff so we are in the shit next week onwards :)

i did that once

great way to waste a day

no customers.

i find.. they want it doing. but whenever someone does it everyone asks where they are and why they are not watching the shop.

the toilet remains the best place to waste half an hour though lol

reply to above, discount is 15% which frankly is rubbish. can get better by shopping around. benefits, money, sort of flexible hours and work with similar people, hopefully

hmmm 15% is more than what i get at Currys, only get 10% there so 15% sounds good to me. thanks dude

Yo

Me and Chris Elson have an interview at halfords soon.

Just wondering, what are the good things about working there and what are the benifits like discount etc.

thanks

JK

yeh but depends what stuff u buy.

go to a specialist bike shop if u want big discounts.

easier to save if less discount i found, because i didn't buy crap just because it was cheap.
