bendy Posted November 24, 2008 Report Share Posted November 24, 2008 hammerite do a proper remover so do some other company's. I find WD40 helps but it wont get rid of the rust. If you are going to buy a proper rust remover you may well be better off getting new bolts. tartybikes sell quite a wide selection but if your lucky enough to have a fastener shop near you I would go there. Derby-Rider Posted November 24, 2008 Report Share Posted November 24, 2008 Stainless steel bolts get made in all sizes most popular are m6 thread and m5 thread, then just measure your hold bolts not including the head and go to your local fastener shop!i would of thought stainless steel would be no more than 30 pence per bolt ?? newtrialsbiker Posted November 25, 2008 Report Share Posted November 25, 2008 I've used Brasso before and it works pretty well.It's sold EVERYWHERE, I think its pretty cheap and a tin lasts ages.
