Who Else Has It Happened To?

MAX (M.A.D)

Recommended Posts

While cleaning my frame the other day I noticed a crack in the chain stay near the bottom bracket, (the side of where the sprocket is.) (N) I have a phase frame and I know 2 people who have snapped theirs, I was wondering how many people this has happened to who rides with a phase frame.

And would like to know if the company replaced it.

Hope you can help, Max.

Please remember MAD/Phase is not the same as Saracen any more. Give the guys a shout and see what they say about it.

Out of interest, how long have you had the bike/how much did it cost you?

yer this also happend to my saracen flea 2 twice :(

definately dont ride it and if phase dont replac it get a tube welded in the :D worked with my old frame and it ended up being stronger :P

different company .....

If its a small crack you could just weld it ;).

and in so doing weaken it by ~80%? i think he's best off trying to get a replacement, don't you?

I have had the phase 1.3 and 1.2 my 1.3 snapped in the same place but it only done it because of a fault with the bike when i frist got it the chain for some reason kept getting pulled into the frame and after that frame i had a second 1.3 and had no problem and i had no problems with the 1.2.

Could just be a bad frame.

This was probably nothing to do with the frame, but most probably due to an excesively worn chainring, cuasing it to grab the chain and pull it up into the frame!?

yea think it was the chain rings are S*it they bend so easy so the best thing i think to any one that buys a phase m.a.d. is change the chaing ring to a decent one.
