Help With A Video Camera Lens Adapter Please!

Hello...

Looking for some advice on which ring adapter to buy for a new Lens I have for my video camera. My video camera has a 30mm thread size and the lens thread size is 58mm. Rowan kindly supplied me with 2 ring adapters. One is 58-52mm and the other is 52-43mm. So what I am wondering is, which size adapter should I get? Should I go for a 58-30, or 43-30?

I am not sure if its better to have the lens further away from the camera or not?

The camera I have is a Sony DCR-SR52 and the lens is a Raynox MX-3000 Pro 0.3x semi fisheye (thanks Rowan!)

Advice is appreciated!

Cheers, Stan. :)

Personally I'd get a 30-58 stepping ring Ebay link

The problem with using more than one stepper is it brings the adaptor further away from the original lens, increasing vignetting.

Edit - Oh and Dr Nick, hes on about using a 30-43 then a 43-52 then a 52-58 :P
