Oil On My Pads

Ashes

Recommended Posts

A few solutions:

1. Wash them with hot soapy water although this probably wont get all the oil off.

2. Sand them or file them.

3. buy new pads, as rubber soaks up oil.

your seriously on crack

Give the pads a bit of a file and put a fresh grind on your rim.

Rub them on a rough surface, such as sandpaper or a brick etc just to remove a thin layer of contaminated pad.

Then rub some white spirit on them and let to dry.

White spirit is oil based and leave a tiny residue behind. Meths is alcohol based and totally evaporates, that would be better to use.

What pads are they out of interest?
