I used to do a lot of train+bike travelling, and if you can getting a reservations pretty handy. Especially good for pissing off Virgin train staff who seem to immediately think you don't have one, and that therefore they can have a go at you...

haha. Thanks man.

hey man

Yes you can get bikes on trains no bother.

Me and two others took our 3 bikes on the scotrail train from perth to edinburgh, just make sure theyre out of the way of everyone.

There are these special places to tie up bikes, but we just sat with them and didnt get told to move.

I have been on countless trains, different companies to a few different places, and never had a problem with taking a bike on, including Virgin trains.

Didn't have a reservation, just took it on.

But if someone starts having a go at me I tend to grab them by the throat and tell 'em to p!ss off, don't know if that may work in my favour :ermm:

Yip, you'll be fine on the train’s dude. If your asking because you'll be using the train to get to the Glasgow ride, im sure the train wont be too busy (well, you never know actually with Christmas shopping and all that)

If anyone asks about them or wants to get past, just be polite and move them to the side. And don’t do anything stupid like hopping on them on the train.
