Hello folks, Its me again, Joe from Cuerden Valley Park.

We are starting preperations for the fair and i have been given the go ahead to organise the trials event again, and i basically want to know if you lot will come in such strong force again as last year was really good, we have had so much good feedback and and you were all a spectacle to watch, obviously ill be looking to add more stuff but this is mainly to see if you are all interested again. There will be a small charge of around £3 mainly to cover staff time for the prep, it takes a lot of organising this ;)

Ill update the thread regularly with pictures and progress.

For those already interested the disclaimer is available here.

The grass can certainly be cut shorter. but we are pretty limited to that same field, i will be making things bigger this year and i will do all i can to make it the best for all of you.

Just give me ideas of what you want and ill get on with it.

Yeah I'm gonna come along again

Are you getting scrap cars again? If so would it possible to re-enforce the roofs somehow so they don't sink in the middle again.

Mabye a wooden platform ratchet strapped to the roof to give a grippy, more stable surface??

EDIT: Deffo cut the grass as well mate, short as possible

Cheers guys, and yeah we will have cars again, and well look at stiffening things up =), Weve got welding kit here, so can always wack some steel tubing in the roof and well board the windows up as well as possible.

And yeah anyone willing to help with designs, ideas or physical work, p.m me and ill give you my number

Got a shed load of pics from last year too, so for those that didnt come ill upload them so you can see what we are going for =)

Hoping to get some form of sponsor to arrange a competition with prizes so keep your eyes out =)

Sounds good Joe! I'll put the date in my diary, I'm just up the road in Lancaster so if you need a hand with building a few things I can give up an evening or whatever!

The grass wasn't too much of a problem really, but I'm not going to complain if it's shorter! Might be worth putting some bigger objects in the middle of everything instead of at the back edge. But the set up last time catered well for all the riders I thought.

See you all there.

Tom.

Brilliant idea mate. I know personally I couldn't down fluids fast enough (didn't help the mountain rescue ran over my bottle & made a litre of juice explode onto the floor >_<) and gary (gage mann) got heatstroke last year.

so bear in mind your gonna need a fair amount.

And is it ok if I bring the disclaimer and pay on the day??

EDIT: and where would I hand it in?? when I sign in i guess.

You can bring your form and stuff on the day, and when you arrive you will go past our office, it will all be signposted, just hand it in there and head down on your bikes =)

And please bring your mates, the more the merrier =)
