Not A What Bike Should I Buy Question, But What Should I Do?

Hey there Ladies & Gents!

Thank you for having me on the forum. Just discovered this type of riding. Been riding bmx and mountain bikes for a long time and want to take a shot at trials. I've always goofed around on my bikes doing out of the ordinary things like jumping over rocks or riding off tree stumps & such so thought this might be right up my alley. (I live in the mountains of Southern California so have lots of beatiful places to ride)

So my question, If you were to assume I knew nothing about trial riding and were to give me a list of 10 items I need to start learning or doing what would they be? A small explanation of the trick would be excellent as well.

Thank you very much and I hope to start practicing these tasks shortly!

Maybe some pictures to follow as well.

:)

Roll your bars as far forward as possible. Bam you can do massive static hooks, picks and more.

Just kidding... Just practise balance, it will help to have a dedicated trials bike. Your MTB will be hard to progress any further after a month or so.
