Which chain link for running a tensioner?

Never ever had that problem on my mountain bike over the years, just make sure that when fitting it you connect it with the split facing the front of the bike when you join the chain below the chainstay if you get what I mean

EDIT: Ah right, in that case just put a small washer in the tensioner to open the gap slightly. Heard those quicklinks are pretty easy to snap.

That's a good idea, I just managed to force the pin from a one piece chain back into it's hole using a pillar drill! Your idea is easier :P

I dread having to take that chain off now!
