What brands are good?

Hi there!

I am going to buy my first trials bike on of these days but i have no idea what is good and what is bad. All the bikes look awesome but i know that specs and pictures doesn´t always tell the whole truth. I´m from Denmark and unfortunately the trials community is very small so i will be ordering my bike from Tartybikes and won´t be able to try any bikes before buying. The bikes i have been looking at are:

Jitsie Varial 1010 (20”)
Jitsie Varial 1085 (26”)
Echo Lite MK6 (20”)
Echo Lite MK6 Plus (20”)
Echo Pure MK6 (26”)
Echo Pure MK6 Plus (26”)

Are these good brands/models? And are there other brands to consider in that price class (Around 800-900£)? I haven´t really decided if it´s gonna be 20” or 26”. In the past 9 months i have started riding MTB (29”), Freestyle BMX and Race BMX (20”) and i like the BMX most, so i´m leaning mostly at the 20” trials (called a mod, right?).

The more recent Echo brakes seem to be an improvement over the old ones.  The older ones were more prone to leaks, and from memory they also came with rotors that were super hard and brake pads that weren't stellar.  They seem to have improved overall.

Both Echo and Jitsie are good brands though - there's not much to choose between the two, especially now Jitsie have chopped their prices down.

20" trials bikes will feel a lot different to your BMXs.  They're fairly alien compared to 24/26" trials bikes, which in turn are still fairly alien compared to most other bikes.  Your height will play a bit of a role too, if you're taller then a 26" will probably feel more comfortable for you.
