Left School This Year?

Just interested in what you want to do with your self now you have left school.

Are you just gonna toss it off and get an everyday job at the local newsagents for example, or are you going to go on apprenticeship, or even better perhaps.

I'm going on an apprenticeship as a brick layer, good money, seems like something I won't get bored of that easy, and other little things that but important though.

What do you want to do?

Just out of interest.

I've just finished my A-levels this year, so I'm out of school.

I was initially gonna go to uni, but that's all kinda fallen through (well, I knew it had a while back...). I'm looking into moving away from here (tiny little town, no job prospects, not much really good riding, no near skatepark (Y) I'm hoping to just basically get a job I'm going to be interested in, probably in a bike shop or something like that.

I don't have it 100% mapped out at the moment. I've given my CV out to people so they can consider me when they have vacancies next, but it's just a fairly slow process.

I could've gone into clearing with the results I had and might've got onto a decent course, but at the moment I simply don't know what I want to do. I might try again in a year if I fancy doing a degree in something, but with top-up fees I might just sack that idea off.

Either way, I don't really see that there's anything wrong with just going from school into a job. Saying that, I'm not just going to do any job just for the sake of having one, I'm just focussing on getting one I'm going to enjoy doing. I've got a load of time to choose, so I just want to get all my shit together and find somewhere nice. I wouldn't really have any problem with doing 9-5 for some days a week and just riding and having fun the rest of the time, really.

Same position as Mark really. Finished A levels and couldnt wait to leave. Ive ot myself a place at British Aerospace as an apprentice for september which is classed as one of the best in the country. I really cannot wait to start. This is something which I feel will intrest me and has great prospects. I wouldnt even consider going to UNI now unless it was just for socialising

same as them two pretty much^

no point in going to UNI these days cos every man and their dog has a degree.

planning on finishing my job at morrions in the new year to make it a nice round 2 years of service, then look for something else for a couple of years, then consider joining the police force.

don't wanna get tied down to boring career, but i don't wanna leave my self too open and be in the same situation 3 years down the line.

The police force appeals loads for me, but i don't think i've got what it takes just yet.

Does graduating count.

I had a job for 2 weeks was very well paid, got me some office/administative experiance just looking for jobs which is going to be very hard. Looking into anythign to do with transport even the police.

I need to get another temp job soon.

If I have no job by new year then signing up to do teacher training, get a nice lump of money form government and another qualification.

Same as Mark really, espically that last bit, apart from swap riding with going out to gigs.

I have a few ideas that will be worked on over the next few weekends, maybe I will come up with something f**kign awesome. I hope so anyway.
