aaron new zealand Posted September 9, 2006 Report Share Posted September 9, 2006 Use a threaded axle and bolt the freewheel remover to the crank with a nut either side. This locks the tool to the freewheel so no risk of rounding the edges. Then clamp the remover tool in the vice. Then get a pipe, cover the crank in a rag and slot the pipe over the crank and wrench it loose. When loosened remove axle as will stop it undoing. Is what we use in our shop.
