i was just out messing around on my bike and i had a mad moment and decided to cut my bars down. and i have just gone out and rode it and it is so much easier to control the bike, i now feel like i have full control :P. so i was just a bit curious why people have 30" bars etc. and what size are your bars and do you like them like that??

bit of a pointless topic i no but i found a massive difference in bike control, so maybe you can to. :D

My Zoo Rider bar's are 29" and there well nice to ride with. I guess its each to their own but i feel i have more control with wide bars and my power moves are better...

maybe it has something to do with how far your shoulders muscle are apart for big moves??? (dont quote me im not a doctor!) B)

ok thanks for the fast replys. what bike do you both ride because thinking about it if you ride a short wheel base mod (like me) then shorter bars will suite the bike better. but if you ride a big stock then wider bars will feel more at home?? thanks again for the fast replys (Y)

I ride a zona zip which is a long mod, with monty hydra bars which are fairly short compared to most bars, but i think it rides rely nice. Some people agree some people disagree.

the wider the bar, the more control there is, but the wider the bar, the more energy it takes from the body.

its like doing press ups with your arms wide apart and then closer together....try it.

also, if you have narrow shoulders, then dont get super mega wide bars and vice versa
