JohnyMilton Posted June 6, 2007 Author Report Share Posted June 6, 2007 i have been told the new heat sink pads are good? i have been using the cheap Maggie ones with a lode of tar but that was stupid at the tar wouldn't let go i had to pedal to release the brake pads from the rim!!! the standard maggie pads, work surprisingly well with a medium grind! Right i used to use rim jam v3 pads, they where rubbish they didn't hold and they snapped the nipple of the caliper that holds the pads on, so i had to get a new one and re-bleed it. I also believe they snapped my brake mount on my old bt raven 6.0 .I am now using heatsink blue berry pads and i think there amazing !!!!I bleed my brake with DE-ionized water nice and light and a quick reaction. magura hs33 silverWith a echo control booster and ti bolts.And a try-all rim 26", running on a smooth rim. I used to grind my rim but i found that the try-all rims start to turn like cheese if grinded a couple of times. Alex macSee the RimJam pads, did the backings snap with you, I have heard that if they are used to much they snaped, which i personaly think, they must be pants!how long did you have them?Johny Out!
